Nate - Matched
"So, how was the lab?" Emily sat in my lap and cuddled up to me after we'd eaten.
I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her down for a kiss before I started telling her all about it. I made sure to tell her all about Sean hitting on Meredith. She'd joined us for dinner, so we all got to know her.
I was just in the middle of kissing Emily right below the ear, that one spot that always makes her breathe harder, when we heard Brody. "What the fuck? Dude! That's your sister! And my girlfriend!"
"Sister?" I looked up. "First of all, why are you down here in a towel? Get dressed. Second, sister and your girlfriend? Try my wife. You were there."
"What are you talking about?" he looked puzzled.
"You are not in your dimension," Odin appeared right behind Brody. "I have just come from your Emily."
"His Emily?" my Emily turned to face Odin.
Seems that there are many, many more dimensions out there. Follow me here, this is about to get very science fiction. You know, as if my life wasn't there already. Brody, the one in the room in nothing but a towel, is from a dimension where he dates Emily, and she's a collector. Seems that the me there is a bit of a reformed man-whore, and very against drinking. His sister is an addict, so it's understandable. Anyway, that Nate was adopted by the Beamins. I couldn't even imagine, I'm so close to my parents and Drew. It sounded pretty fucked up to me.
"Emily made some demon mad in that cage fighting, didn't she?" Brody looked at Odin. "I just knew that was a bad idea."
"Yes, she did," Odin nodded.
"Emily and cage fighting?" I laughed. "I'd like to see that."
"No you wouldn't," Brody snorted. "So, what do we do now?"
"Let's pull Sam in on this for sure," Emily looked first at me, then turned to Odin.
"Very good idea," Odin nodded. "I am sure the others are researching this as well. We will get everyone sorted out. I cannot fix it, it is up to you." He turned back to Brody. "As I told your Emily, your mobile phone works, so you may communicate with those on your side."
"Excellent," Brody had it in his hand. "I'd just picked it up after I finished showering to check for a message from my dad. Lucky me."
"Let's get you some clothes," Emily stood up. "You can be in Brody's room. Just come back down when you're done."
"Sounds good," Other Brody followed her out of the room.
"I will leave you now," Odin looked at me. "Call if you need me."
"Thanks," I watched as he left.
I sent out messages to everyone to get to the house as soon as possible while Emily was showing Other Brody around. I even grabbed my laptop so I could Skype with Drew so he'd know. Emily came back in as I was setting everything up.
We made the decision to wait until everyone was there before we said anything else. And that drove Sean ape shit.
Brody came back into the room, and he'd found all of our Brody's clothes. I was betting that Emily showed him where everything was. He didn't look very comfortable, and I felt bad for him. He was texting, I guess to his Emily, since Odin told us they still worked. Emily had her phone out, and I leaned over and saw that she was texting our Brody.
"What's you're middle name?" Emily looked over at New Brody. "Because this is going to be very confusing."
"Michael," he answered. "Should I try to go by that?"
