—Rome Molstad has always had a difficult sense of identity. Always Sigrun's daughter, the tribrid Ianna's cousin, always thewitch. She's powerful in her own right, with more power in her finger alone. But Rome has never minded hiding in the background before, more content taking care of others and protecting her family. And she's spent the better half of a thousand years looking after her family's wellfare rather than her own, but sometimes enough is enough. Bloodshed and violence had never been her forte but what happened with Ianna, it'd been too much. Leaving had been for everyone's good, at least that's what Rome's told herself. It'd been painful, but what else was she to do?
And so she'd been alone. There'd never been too much opportunity to do much but taking care of her family, practice magic, so what's she to do now? Well, she hadn't been given an option, not until HYDRA put her in shackles and turned her prisoner. A simple life is all she'd dreamed of, even as a young child still living in her village, even now as she's chained and tortured into their weapon.
All she wants is to live. It's a simple, nothing more, and she doesn't think it's much to ask. A life without torture and pain, without following someone else's will, without worrying about the blood on her hands. She wants someone to be at her side and understand. She wants to forget the harsh things she's done to survive and stop lingering on the past, and focus on the future. That's all, nothing complicated.
Fate has been a funny thing, and comes to her in the form of a mysterious asset just as tortured and pained as her. He's quiet, mysterious, with the sweet blues she's ever seen. Fate, she smiles, has always been funny.
