Caused By You

Chapter Four

Alex POV

   "Where have you been?" He shouted.
I couldn't help the shakes that suddenly took over my body, I didn't dare turn round or look at him. How could I after what he done.
My wolf was howling so much in my head; the howl itself was filled with sadness and heartbreak, even my wolf didn't want to face him. The one thing that annoyed me though was what he said to me, in fact it didn't annoy me it angered me to no end. How dare he asked where I have been. He should know that it was his fault that I left.
"Are you kidding me." I asked calmly as I could.
"What do you mean? You disappeared a year and one month ago. I . . . didn't . . . know . . . what to do." He whispered near the end, stuttering out his works.
"Just leave me alone." I whispered back as I was about to open the door.
"No." He shouted and that's when I started to panic. Not because he shouted, because River decided to make himself known.
"Shit." I whispered as I hurried to get into the car. I was lucky enough to get the door open and inside however, I wasn't lucky enough to reverse the car out of the parking spot.
"Get out the car." He roared in his alpha voice, dominance showing not only in his voice but in his body and eyes. He was stood in front of the car, with his hands resting upon the bonnet.
"No!" I shouted back as I reversed the car however, I was stopped once again when he quickly ran to the back of the car. Dammit! Why did he have to do that. I just want to get away. He made River cry and I can't be dealing with this right now. I could feel the tears slowly dripping down my face and my hands were shaking nonstop.
"Get out the car Alex!" He shouted out again, River cried louder than ever.
   "No leave me alone Rick!" I shouted back while trying to calm down my baby boy.
"Shh River baby, it's going to be okay I promise. We will go home soon yeah and you can have your little teddy and your bottle." I whispered while grandma was trying to calm him down.
"Move now Rick!" Grandma shouted out the window showing her alpha dominance back. Rick instantly calmed down and moved out the way. Of could he would listen to her but, I knew this wasn't over.
I drove as quickly as I possible could. When we finally arrived at my grandmas house I couldn't hold it in anymore, the flood and floods of tears just came crashing down. I quickly rushed out the car before running round to Rivers side of the car and getting him out, he was still crying but I knew he would calm down soon.
"What are you doing?" Grandma asked as I rushed to her home, opening the door and getting inside. I was holding River to my chest, just hoping that he hadn't followed but I knew he would.
"I'm sorry grandma but I've got to go. I can't face him. He can't know that River is his." I whimpered as I rushed about my room packing up all my stuff, River was in the middle of the bed with a pillow either side of him so that he couldn't move.
"At least let me come with you. I want to see River grow up with you." She smiled at me calmly as she held onto my cheeks, rubbing them gentle with her thumbs like she would when I was a kid.
"Yeah grandma. Just pack the things you need and then if anything is missing like clothes and stuff I'll just buy you new ones okay." She just smiled and nodded her head before walking off. I just smiled after her before I carried on my urgent packing. I know I've only been here for a day but I just had to leave like, after seeing him I knew I just couldn't stay here. My wolf was just screaming run again. Just like he did when I found out I was pregnant with River.
As I was packing everything up, I had taken off my shirt as it was getting warm in the room. Why was it getting warm? It's not that warm out.
"We're all packed now River. Which means we're going to go home." I whispered as I picked him up, holding him tightly to my chest. I wouldn't know what I would be like now without River, he's like my rock in all of this. Most wolves go rouge or die when they are rejected by their mate, so I was lucky when I found out about River. I knew from that moment he was going to be the one to save me.
"Grb bb aa."River mumbled, trying to make some form of noise. I just smiled at him when I held him.
"Alex can you come here please." Grandma shouted to me, which was odd as she would of normally come to my room. I wouldn't argue with her though so I just walked my way from my room to the living room, mumbling little things to my little boy. Making him giggle and smile at me.
   "What's up grandma?" I asked as I entered the living room, not looking up from my smiling son.
  "You didn't explain why you left." Alpha Rick whimpered.
   I just looked up in shock before I slowly started to walk away. I knew that he just wouldn't leave me alone.
