Chapter 24

It was midmorning and I still had a head that felt like an axe was planted in it. My eyesight struggled to cope with the daylight and I fumbled with the rope on my dressing gown. With my brain still struggling to recover from the previous night's abuse I had very few options. Either I could continue groaning or I could get up.

Hmm.

Slipping out of bed I gasped when last night's events came back to me. I got drunk last night. Elliot could have just left me to pass out in the hallway but he helped me. After all these months, after all the struggles, all the motivation, I still ended up with him.

After throwing up once, I brushed my teeth with a spare brush that I found in his cabinet. I looked at myself and chuckled. Damn, I've ruined a perfectly good body. I had dark circles under my eyes and I was pale as fuck. Walking out of the bathroom I banged into someone.

Elliot. "Oh, hi," I grinned sheepishly. He smiled and handed me a glass of umm something. "This is a special protein shake that I have every morning. I figured that you're into all this since Ezekiel mentioned that you follow a strict diet," Elliot explained.

Oh yeah, I'm supposed to be a health freak. "Yes of course, I have this all the time," I grabbed the cup from him happily and took a sip. A wave of disgust surged through my veins and before I knew it, I'd spat out the protein shake on Elliot.

He looked at me in annoyance. His pure white t-shirt was now brown... kinda like poop. Thinking of shit on the King's shirt made me laugh which made him glare at me even more. Nonetheless, I laughed shamelessly. And well let's jusy say I wasn't laughing anymore. Elliot had emptied the entire protein shake on me.

"How dare you!" I shrieked and wiped of the fruity bits off my face. He looked at me and snorted as he whipped out his iPhone and took a snap of me. "Game on, Gabriel," I huffed and walked away from the disaster.

After having a bath in rosewater- yeah the stench was that bad- I changed into comfy shorts and a loose t-shirt and was about to walk out when I was yanked to a corner. "Kiel? Where were you!" I whisper/yelled at him. His cheeks were flushed and he had a slight glint of happiness in his eyes.

"That's a story for another time. But you can't roam like this! Remember who you are, you're Cara Velius. The multi-millionaire. Go and dress up, we can talk about Elliot later," he smiled. Hearing his name made my blood boil. "Have any tricks up your sleeve, demon boy?" I smirked. He chuckled and pushed me into my room.

I changed into a white vest, a black and white skirt and a navy blue blazer after applying some red lipstick and typing my hair into a high ponytail. Now, I looked like Cara Velius. I smiled and walked out. As I was walking around the castle searching for pokémons, I heard some noise from the room across the corridor.

It was Elliot's office. Walking closer, I heard moaning. No doubt it was Tatiana and my most favourite person in the world, Elliot. Note the sarcasm or else you're dead. Call it jealousy or revenge but before I knew it I felt an adrenaline rush and I walked towards the door. I knocked on the door. "Who is it?" Elliot called out.

I smirked and knocked again and then hid behind the thick velvet curtains and hid my scent with my magic. The door opened and a semi-naked Elliot came out, looked around and then slammed the door shut with a growl. Again I went to knock on the door but this time I decided to run. He opened the door and followed me as well. I crossed the hall and entered the kitchen so that I could shut the wooden door but he was too fast.

He pinned me against the wall and smirked at me. Both of us were panting and just staring at each other. "You'd be in good shape...if you ran as much as your mouth," he whispered in my ear. His minty breath sent shivers down my spine. "Do you want a piece of my mind?!" I spat out venomously. He chuckled and kissed my cheek. "Oh no, I couldn't take the last piece, darling," he laughed.
