I woke up with a feeling of a burning sensation in my neck. I heard laughing and shut my eyes immediately.

Ezekiel. Come get me soon! I yelled in my mind.

"I know you're awake," Elliot said coldly. I opened my eyes and took in my surroundings. I was in the basement of the castle. There was a small bulb in the corner of the room and just a chair to which I was tied.

My blood had stained my clothes. If I didn't know better, I'd think I got my periods. "What do you want from me!" I yelled at him. Elliot rolled his eyes and folded his sleeves.

He reached into his pocket and pulled out something shiny. A blade. I looked and him and shook my head. This is Elliot, he won't do it. I know him. He would never hurt a lady on purpose. "The," he spoke and pressed the blade against my cheek, "truth," he whispered and dragged the blade till my jaw. I hissed in pain and shut my eyes, trying to ignore the pain.

It hurt physically. But emotionally too. How could I ever love this man? He's a monster. Some stories are true. Sometimes the hero actually becomes the villain. "I'm not hiding anything!" I yelled at him. I was so mad. I wanted to kick him in the balls and then throw him from a cliff.

He punched the wall creating a huge dent in it and turned towards me with his bloody fist. "ANSWER ME!" He growled. I admit, he was scary as fuck. "I don't know about he-" before I could finished speaking he stabbed my shoulder with the blade and left it in. I screamed. It hurt so bad.

I hate him.

I hate him so much. He's a monster. Incapable of human emotions. I regret meeting him; being his mate; falling in love with him. But I'm thankful to Ezekiel for rescuing me from his brother before it was too late. Before I became a victim of murder.

"Don't test my patience, Velius. Tell me where she is!"

"Fuck you, Elliot! You don't deserve a mate! She'd rather die than be with you!" I screamed as tears poured out if my eyes uncontrollably. His eyes turned black. Not even pitch black... it felt murderous. It was like Elliot wasn't there anymore. It was Storm.

He growled and extended his canines. "I'm going to mark you and get into your mind, bitch" he hissed. No no no. This can't happen. "S-Stay away from me! I'm going to kill you!" I screamed. He came closer and closer.

Until he was at my neck. He rubbed the wound that Adrian made making me whimper in pain. "That hurt? Mine will be worse," he laughed. His canines grazed my skin and I cried. "Please, let m-

The door burst open and a man entered. His body was on fire. Red eyes and a body engulfed in flames and all he was wearing was black jeans. "Let. Her. Go. Gabriel ," he said. Elliot and I looked at each other in shock.

Ezekiel? I asked in my mind.

No reply.

I stared at him in wonder. The man looked like he was about to kill and the fire didn't help either. What surprised me the most was that Elliot was nervous. And that made me feel secure. The enemy's enemy is a friend, right?

"She has my mate. So no, I won't let her go unless I get answers," he growled lowly and looked at me in disgust. I looked at the man waiting for him to speak to me but he didn't. Instead he raised his hand and flipped Elliot against the window and then again.

And again.

And again.

One more time, tell he finally lost consciousness. I gulped. Elliot was bleeding now; bleeding but thankfully unconscious. The man looked at me and sighed. The flames surrounding him disappeared and in front of me stood a man that was breathtaking. Yeah, his view may suck but mine? Oh boy, mine was scintillating.

He had full lips and tanned skin. His eyes were the colour of an evening sky. A beautiful hue of violet which seemed to capture whoever looked into them. His hair looked silky, pure black silk...

"Hold on," he said and without waiting for a reply he scooped me into his arms and rushed somewhere with an inhuman speed. He was as fast as Elliot; maybe even faster. Was he a werewolf? An Alpha perhaps.

Everything around me was a blur so I shut my eyes and rested on his chest. Within no time I was asleep in the arms of a stranger. My knight in shining armour.

I flinched as I felt something piercing me. I opened my eyes to see the man now dressed in a leather jacket with a white t-shirt and dark blue jeans. He was cleaning my wounds. I looked at myself, I was in my bra.

My bra!

"Excuse me?! How dare you!" I pushed him away from me and tried to get up. Keyword- tried. Because I fell back down thanks to the dizziness. He looked at me in anger and put the washcloth back on the wound.

His gaze was enough to make me shut up. I didn't dare to open my mouth until he finished. My wounds had healed by now thanks to my new powers but I still felt tired. And my attraction to this viable serial killer isn't helping.

After he was done he handed me a shirt that was clean and then began walking away, maybe expecting me to follow him. I ran up to him and stopped in front of him.

"Hey, thank you. For everything," I said and offered him a small smile. That's all I could say. His eyes filled with surprise. "Come on," he said and dragged me into his car. After making sure that I was seated properly he shut the door and walked over to the driver's seat and got it.

The drive was fairly peaceful but still there were so many questions in my mind. Who was he? Why did he save me? "How old are you?" I asked. His head snapped towards me immediately. "You're not my type so shut up, will you?" He glared at me.

My cheeks heated up in embarrassment making me look away from him and pretend like he didn't just insult me. Like, wtf. "Be careful," he said after a while.

I looked at him and smiled. "And why would you say that? Aside from the fact that a psychopath was going to kill me," I added. He chuckled. "You may be a storm but the man you're standing against is a tsunami," he spoke. I looked at him in confusion. What is he even saying?

"Speak english, please," I laughed. He rolled his eyes and pulled over, stopping just outside the castle gates. I looked at it and gulped.

Adrian will be there.
Elliot will be there.
And if Ezekiel's not, I'm screwed.

"Go in there and forget that we ever met. I don't know that you're Milan and you don't know that I can kick your mate's ass," he spoke gruffly. I looked at him in shock making him smirk and point towards the door.

I huffed and got out. When I turned to look at him one last time, he had vanished, leaving the car abandoned. I smiled as I thought about him. He was a jerk but he was a cute one.
