21. It's Over.

Twenty One
_

The four boys were in the waiting room for a few hours.

Baekbeom was the only one awake, speaking to his and baekhyun parents outside while the other three were asleep in the waiting room inside.

Chanyeol had his head on Kyungsoo's shoulder since he was being comforted by him and Kyungsoo held Jongin's hand as the boy had his head on Kyungsoo's other shoulder.

Baekbeom sighed as he listened to his mother give him excuses. "My brother could be dead and you don't even care? Not even enough to at least visit him once?"

Baekbeom couldn't believe it. "Fine, don't come. We don't need you or your husband in our lives." Baekbeom ended the call walking inside, making his way back into the waiting room and took a seat with a small huff.

Chanyeol smiled in his sleep before he began to slowly wake up.

He let out a quiet yawn as he stretched. Combing his hair back with his hand as he sat up, he lazily looked around.

Chanyeol turned to Baekbeom. "Anything?" He mumbled, his voice a bit groggily. Baekbeom sighed as he shook his head.

Chanyeol rubbed his eyes as he pulled out his phone checking the time.

He couldn't help but smile at his lock screen, his finger lightly brushing over baekhyun.

Minutes later, the doctor that had been with Baekhyun for hours walked in.

Both baekbeom and Chanyeol stood up, meeting the doctor half way.

"Is baekhyun okay?" The two questioned at the same time. The doctor gave them a reassuring smile.

"Everything is fine. Baekhyun is now well and is resting. He should be waking up soon so you boys can go ahead and see him now." The two nodded.

"You go ahead, I'll wake these two up." Baekbeom flashed Chanyeol a small smile and gave him a pat on the back.

Chanyeol smiled, saying thank you before speed walking to baekhyun's room.

He slowly opened the door and poked his head in. A smile growing on his face as he saw a sleeping Baekhyun.

He walked up, happy tears pooling his eyes. "You're okay.." Chanyeol whispered, grabbing Chanyeol's hand in his.

He pressed a soft kiss to baekhyun's knuckles before pulling up a seat beside the bed.

Chanyeol couldn't stop smiling as he brushed baekhyun's hair back.

...Hours Before...

"Baekhyun? Baekhyun, wake up."

The boy hummed, blinking his eyes open. 

In front of him was a familiar face.

"Junmyeon." Baekhyun smiled, sitting up.

"What happened? Where's the shadow?"

Junmyeon smiled. "You did it baek. You won the battle."

"I-I did?" Junmyeon nodded. "I'm proud of you. I know that's a bit tough, everyone has something that scares them and not everyone can face them but today you did."

Baekhyun smiled.

"Will I be able to go back?" Junmyeon nodded, standing up and held out his hand for Baek to take.

Baekhyun took his hand and stood up. In a blink of an eye, the two arrived at the hospital.

It brought back memories, the time of the accident.

But he soon forgot when the two found themselves in front of the people Baekhyun cares about.

His brother baekbeom.

His best friends Kyungsoo and Jongin.

And of course, his love.. Chanyeol.

The three were asleep while baekbeom sat inpatient as he bounced his leg.

Baekhyun smiled as he looked at a sleeping Chanyeol.

He walked over and had leaned down, pressing his lips to leave a soft kiss on his boyfriend's forehead.

He chuckled as he saw the boy smile in his sleep.

"You should get back, the four have been worried about you. You shouldn't keep them waiting."

Baekhyun nodded before quickly following after junmyeon.

He followed him to the room his body was in, which had a nurse and a doctor on each side of the bed.

"How are his vitals?" "They're almost back to normal doctor." The man nodded, noting it down.

"Alright. Well, all we have to do is just wait, shouldn't be long now." The nurse nodded before following the doctor out.

"What happened to my body?" "When the shadow was trying to bring out your fear, it was affecting your body."

Baekhyun nodded.

"Once i'm back will this happen again?" Baekhyun glanced over at Junmyeon. "I can't say no. Like I told you before, you have a powerful soul."

Baekhyun nodded. "So, this will most likely happen again."  the boy mumbled, letting out a sigh.

The two turned to the door, a smile making its way to Baekhyun's lips once he saw Chanyeol walk in.

"Go on and take care of yourself." Junmyeon smiled, bringing Baekhyun in for a hug before Baekhyun walked to his body.

He waved goodbye to Junmyeon before touching his hand, entering his body again. (Sorry if that sounds weird lol)

Baekhyun slowly fluttered his eyes open, being a bit blinded by the light.

"Chanyeol?" Baekhyun's voice was a bit groggily, so he cleared his throat.

"Here, drink." Chanyeol grabbed the cup of water that was sitting on the night stand by the bed, bringing the straw to Baekhyun's lips.

Chanyeol had a smile on his face, Baekhyun was okay now. He was back and nothing was wrong with him. He doesn't have to worry anymore.

"How are you feeling?" Baekbeom smiled, standing on the other side of the bed.

"Better now." "We were worried but we knew you would make it back." Kyungsoo smiled.

Baekhyun smiled back.

He was happy to be back. He glanced over at Chanyeol, who was already looking at him.

He flashed Chanyeol a wide smile. Chanyeol leaned down and pressed a kiss to Baekhyun's lips.

"I've miss you." The taller boy whispered, resting his head against Baekhyun's.

"I've missed you too." Baekhyun whispered back, grabbing hold of Chanyeol's hand and giving it a small squeeze.
