"Why?," Damon asks me as I take a seat next to him at his table.

"Why, what?," I casually ask him.

"You know what," he says.

I prop my elbows on the table and take a bite out of my sandwich. "I have no idea what you are talking about," I say coolly.

"Whatever," he mutters.

I swallow the food in my mouth and comment, "Well someone is grumpy today."

He shrugs and takes a bite of his celery.

"It was only a dare."

Looking amused, he turns to me, "Double Dare?"

"Double Dare."

"I remember playing that, and I used to like it until Draiden dared me to lick the mailbox," he shudders from the memory.

I burst out laughing, "You're face was totally worth it."

"Totally worth doubling over and puking for? Sure, whatever floats your boat."

I shrug, "You're the one who lost the bet."

"Draiden shouldn't have bet me that I could stuff 10 marshmallows in my mouth."

I roll my eyes, "Touche."

"So what bet did you lose?"

I finish off my sandwich and say, "That my cover of "Party in the USA" wouldn't get 100 likes."

He frowns, "Who came up with that one?"

"Mariah."

"Ah, that explains the lack of creativity."

"Don't dish your sister," I defend her.

He finishes eating his food on his plate, "Not my fault that she and I shared my mother's womb and she was born second. And lacks my brainy mind."

I snort, "Brainy Mind?"

He glares at me, "Yes, brainy mind."

I raise my hands in surrender, "Fine, whatever you say."

"So how is work?"

I frown, "What?"

"I saw you sneak out of the house yesterday morning and when I asked Mariah about it, she said that you worked an early shift."

I nod my head, "It was good. Tiring, because it always gets busy with the church crowd, but it was fine."

He nods his head in response. I place my trash onto his tray as he gets up with it and he rolls his eyes. I just throw him a sheepish smile, "Thanks."

Life at home seemed to be abnormal. My parents stayed in most nights and worked at home. My mom would cook meals and we would actually be somewhat like a normal family. I had no idea why, but I was certainly prepared for it to end. Such as them going another business trip or something else along those lines. That is how it normally was for them. I didn't expect anything else. So when I walk into the front door and deposit my car and house keys into the pocket of my jeans, I can say that I was more than shocked at the sight I saw in front of me. My parents were standing in the room as if the were waiting for me and I frown at the odd gesture.

"Hello."

"Hello," they both say monotonously. My father walks into the kitchen.

My mom rushes to me and goes to my side and pulls me towards my the kitchen. "We have some exciting news to share for you and Draiden." I frown at this, when they usually went on business trips, they never told Draiden and I, they would leave a voicemail on our phones after they already left. We both walk into the kitchen and my father is sitting at the kitchen island casually. Draiden was leaning over on the marbled top of it and looks up at my mother and I's approaching steps.
