She pulled against the chains,
That held her back,
Stood her ground,
When hate attacked,
All the words said by others,
None of them sounded like lovers,
The world around her seemed so blue,
She was treated as if she was see-through,
She would hear her voice,
But there was no reaction,
Almost as if ignoring her,
Gave others satisfaction,
She cried so many tears,
They made a puddle at her feet,
She lunged herself into them,
Wailing in defeat,
The world can be cruel,
And hurt so many people,
Just try to stay strong,
