Scattered pieces

On the ground

All around I see

The shattered pieces

Of my broken, scarred heart

I step gingerly

Avoiding to step on my heart

But can my eyes

Deceive me?

You trod on my heart

As if it were nothing

As if I never

Gave you all of me

As if I were nothing

Scattered pieces of my heart

You brought down the wall

Built around my heart

In no time at all

I let you in

I trusted you

But you deceive me

Trotting on my heart

As if I were

Nothing to you

As if I were

Just a toy to you

You broke my heart,

That I gave

For you to heal

I gave you all of me

But it was not enough

Scattered pieces of my heart

Lays on the ground

All around I see

Scattered pieces

Of my broken, scarred heart

I trusted you

In order to heal

My broken heart

But in return

You gave on to me

A broken heart,

My heart,

That now lays

Shattered beyond repair.

Scattered pieces

On the ground

All around I see

The shattered pieces

Of my broken, scarred heart

Do my eyes deceive me?

You trod on my heart,

You destroy me

Despite the fact

I gave you all

Of who I was

Nothing I did

Was enough for you

So you went

And betrayed my trust

So you went

And broke my scarred heart.

Heart broken and alone

I look all around me

And I see

The shattered pieces

Of my broken, scarred heart

Scattered all around me.

On the ground I see

The scattered pieces

Of my broken heart

Shattered beyond repair

But I wonder

Why you did this to me?

What did I do

To deserve this onslaught of pain

That you caused me?

Scattered pieces

Lay on the ground

The pieces are

The shattered fragments

Of my broke, scarred heart

My heart now in

Disrepair, shattered beyond repair
