Chapter 21

Lee's POV

After the two hour train journey, I grabbed my bag and got off of the train. I smiled as a breeze blew through my hair, I was home.

"Lee! Lee!" I could hear my Dad

I eventually spotted him and pushed through the crowds towards him

"How are you Princess?" he asked as we hugged

"Yeah, it's good to be back." I smiled

"Well, let's go. You'll love the new apartment." he grinned as we walked towards his car

"You moved?" I asked, slightly upset I never knew he moved out of our old family home

"Yeah, the big house was fine with Melissa but I thought you would prefer an apartment. It's closer to the University too." he said as we got into the car

"Okay, thanks." I nodded as he started driving

About twenty minutes later we pulled up in front of a beautiful building

"No way, this isn't it." I gasped

"Yep, welcome to your new home Princess." he grinned giddily, then started driving again until we were parked in a private garage.

"Come on then, let's show you around." he smiled, pulling me out of the car 

We walked through the main entrance and Dad was greeted by a guy in a suit behind a huge desk

We took a left and walked along the corridor then came to the first door, he was grinning as he stuck his key in then opened the door

This place looks huge! There was a grand spiral staircase and everything. I ran around the three floored apartment, exploring.

"One more surprise." Dad smiled when I joined him in the large living area

"You shouldn't have gotten me anything." I sighed, but his smile didn't fade as he gestured out of the full length windows onto the private terrace.

"No way!" I squealed as a cute little puppy was sniffing at a plant

"He's so cute!" I coo-ed, picking him up

He sniffed me then licked my cheek

"Aw! What's his name?" I asked

"Call him whatever you want Princess." Dad smiled at me

"Buddy, I'll call him Buddy." I smiled, stroking the small dogs soft fur

"So you have a buddy? That means if any of your friends from Holmes Chapel ask you can say you got a buddy on your first day." Dad teased then started laughing

"Very funny." I rolled my eyes then smiled

"Go take him a walk in the gardens, I'll start making dinner." he smiled, giving me Buddy's leash

I clipped it onto his collar, then set him down

For being a young puppy, he walked well on a leash. I exited our apartment and managed to find my way outside to the large shared gardens.

After a while of exploring the beautiful outside of the apartment, I heard soft guitar strumming, I let myself follow it.

I saw a blonde boy sitting on a bench, strumming chords and singing quietly, then scribbling into a notebook.

"Buddy!" I called, noticing he had slipped out of his collar and was sniffing at the boys shoes

The boy smiled up at me, setting his guitar down and stroked behind Buddy's ears.
