It all started that sunny Friday morning.....

"Vinny Chase ain't' nobody worth getting to know Vash, I don't why you seem want to learn so much about the nigga." My best friend Dajsha mentioned as we sat side by side on the subway. I shook my head, with an annoyed eye roll as I pretended to not hear what she had said.

"And how would you know?" I questioned, taking a quick look up from my white Galaxy S4. I was not surprised to see Dajsha staring right back at me with a look far from ecstatic. "I just don't understand. Everyone just seems to only talk shit about the guy, never anything good." I added, extra curiosity sparking my mind as I wonder day by day what was so bad about him.

"I don't see him making any changes around Harlem. Still the same junkies and crackheads all over the place just as there has been before. Nigga's still dying out in the streets trying make money for they family, and the same police officers who taken advantage of black people. So what the hell is this 'Vinny Chase' nigga doing for us? Nothing." She fumed shaking her head before popping her ear buds back into her ears. A gesture Dajsha usually does when she's had enough of what you've had to say, and doesn't care about what else you needed her to hear.

I took a deep breath trying to fight the urge of yanking the crisp white Apple headphones from Dajsha's ears as I rolled my eyes, turning back to my phone. Call me a stalker if you want, but there I was sitting on the subway, lurking through his photos on instagram. @VCHA$ENYC. All throughout my home page there he was with his pictures of high end fashion, marijuana, jewelry and codeine. Before I could double tap the picture, I got a text message from my best friend Sean.

I would be lying to say a slight blush didn't burn my cheeks, once I saw his name at the top of my phone followed by da bestie and various emoji's. All thoughts of Vinny were quickly buried as I opened the text message.

Goodmorning babes 😘

I was so caught up in how long we had been on the subway to even remember it was still morning. I peeked over my shoulder to see Dajsha looking right back at me with a smirk on her face, and I wasn't surprised to that she already knew who it was.

"Damn I swear that nigga got you sprung! One text message telling your ass good morning and you looking like you bought to die." She joked, playfully hitting my arm as I laughed with her. "I don't understand why ya don't just get together. I mean ain't obvious ya like each other?" I shrugged in response to Dajsha's last sentence. Sean actually liking me was something I barely could tell, for all we know he could just be a nice ass person to every girl. He might just send good morning texts to all his girls, if you know what I mean.

"I don't know." I sighed, shaking my head as I looked outside the subway window. Sean wasn't the type of guy that would go around breaking girls hearts like most of the guys I knew, but his looks sure as hell could get him anyone he wanted. The last thing on my mind was getting into a relationship with someone who I cared greatly about, and a few months later ruining the bond we used to have as a friends.

"Come on Vash, don't let that get your head. The nigga likes you and it's obvious as fuck. I mean look he sent you the emoji kiss face! That's how you know that shit is real! And he called you babes, ya aint even dating!" Dajsha grinned with excitement, shaking my shoulder as she tried to lighten my mood. "Now text the homie back, before he thinks you leaving his ass hanging." I took a deep breath, nodding my head as I unlocked my phone, opening back to the text message that Sean sent three minutes ago.
