Vashtie

"Let me take you to the movies, Shawty!" Sean exclaimed, trying his best to sound like the Australian rapper Bangs.  I couldn't help but laugh, as I clutched my stomach for how terrible Sean sounded trying to mimic him.

"Oh shit, that song is forever a classic!" I laughed, wiping a start tear from how hard I was laughing before taking a sip of my strawberry lemonade.  Sean of course knew how much that song would always crack me up since that was one of the anthems of high school, just hearing him attempt to sing it now brought back many memories.

I stared down at the restaurants menu and automatically felt Seans gaze, causing me to look up almost immediately.  "What made you come back?" He questioned, pushing away his menu as I shrugged in response.  I didn't really know how to answer the question without bringing up any additional comments about Vinny.

"I was at my parents house yesterday, and my mom told me everything. She sounded like a broken record going on and on about you being the best thing that happened to me." I replied with a smirk, setting my menu aside as I stared at him.  The look on Sean's face quickly changed to a look of happiness as he grinned proudly.

"Cause your mom loves me." He responded, drinking some of his Sprite before locking eyes with the waitress.  Seeing the petite looking bitch once again, brought back nothing but sour memories as I glared at her intensely.    Sean glanced over at me before looking back down, as if that would somehow stop her from coming to our table.

"How may I-" She began before noticing Sean at the table. "Sean?" She then greeted with too much excitement, nearly dropping her notepad on the floor.  She then glanced into my direction, rolling her eyes with a light wave before turning back towards Sean.  She wore a smirk on her face that was so bright, it seemed like she was still reminiscing over whatever the fuck her and Sean did over a month ago.

"Hey Jhene, I never knew you worked here." He replied with a smiled.  He then looked across the table to see me giving her a dirty glare, and it seemed like Jhene was 100% aware of it, making sly touches on Sean's shoulder to piss me off in response.

"Did you tell Vashtie the news?" Jhene then interjected, jumping with joy as I continued to stare at her, feeling like I should leap over the table and choke her.  I was hopping that Jhene could just shut the hell up and leave, but instead she just had to push it. "I'm pregnant!" She finally spat out, cheesing brightly as she looked directly at me.

"Why the hell should I care?" I spat out, looking down at my menu with an annoyed eye roll.  I pulled out my cellphone from my pocket, before then looking back at Jhene with the same angered look as before. "You bout to tell me why the fuck I should care, or just stay shut like a damn fool?" I asked, now getting fed up with her constant bull.  I glanced over at Sean to see what the hell was going on, but instead he quickly turned his attention to the cars passing by outside.

"Because. . ." She replied, stretching out the word with a smirk. "Sean is the babie's father." She chuckled, leaning over to kiss his cheek.  My jaw nearly dropped as I stared at Sean with a look of straight rage.  My blood boiled, as my hands clenched into tight fists under the table.  I yet again looked across the table at Sean, but now his head was held in shame as rubbed his temples.

As much as I wanted to scream various curse words at the top of my lungs as I beat the daylights out of Jhene, I knew that all that would do was make me look like the bad guy and a ratchet black girl in Olive Garden.  Instead I tried my best to force a smile onto my face as I adjusted the white leather jacket over my black aztec print shirt.  "Congratulations."  I finally said, looking directly at Jhene.
