Vinny Cha$e
"The new mixtape just dropped, Kings Landing. We talking new Harlem music. You can catch me on tour, last stop is New York so you know we gotta do it big for my city." I grinned as the radio interviewer, Angie Martinez, nodded with a smile. I felt as if I was finally at the top, being interviewed on my favorite radio station from when I was younger.
"So any thing else you wanna say to the fans and supporters?" Angie, the radio interview of Hot 97 questioned with a large smile. I chukled before getting all into the michrophone, knowing exactly what I wanted to say to all of the people tuned in to the staionat the moment.
"Download that new mixtape! Kings Landing. Only nigga you know mixing luxury with music. Halrem's very own V-Chase. Cheers!" I exclaimed as a rush of energy filled my body. Angie and I began to laugh, before leaning in closer to the mike. By the look on her face she seemd to be enjoying herself as much as I have for the past hour together.
"You heard it here first, on Hot. 97. Vinny Chase, Kings Landing, download the mix tape guys. This is one of the tracks featured off of the tape. Money Tonight!" Angie exclaimed with a smile before playing the song and cutting off her mike. "I remember when you first was came here and you just started in the game. And now you all grown up boy!" Angie said with a smirk, as I chuckled in response shaking my head, not forgetting the first time I was blessed to enter into the radio station.
"I know, I know." I laughed, twisting side to side, in the rolling chair. "I can't believe I actually made it here Angie." I responded with a cheesy smile spread across my face. Taking a sip of the cup of water beside me on the table. It felt like I was just starting to rap yesterday, and now I was headlining on tours with New Yorks best nigga's in the game. Where have the time gone?
"I'm talking back when you had just dropped Survival of the Swag, everyday I would play Urban Outfitters. That was like a year after you dropped the first one, right? I can't remember what it was called . . ." She added, snapping her finger trying to concentrate.
"The Plaza!" We both exclaimed in unison, wide grins stretching across our faces. "That one is classic!" I looked at Angie in amazement to know people actually was ridding with me for that long. I know a lot of fans are just now jumping on the band wagon, buts it feels good to know I had some true fans from the jump.
"It was nice talking to you again Angie!" I saluted with a hug. Angie nodded with a beaming smile, before continuing onto her station. After leaving Hot. 97 station, I felt as if there was such a positive energy filling my body that assured me I was going to have a turnt up day. It's a freggin' Saturday, my new mix tape just dropped, and I am feeling happy as a motherfucka! I pulled out my phone before texting my girl Cassandra, it didn't take long for her to reply back almost instantly. I hopped into my black on black Benz before replying to her message.
