" Nice to see you again as well honey buns ". I reply, hugging her back. " Christian, you, again "! I joke, as he lightly punches me in the arm and says while hugging me. " Nice to see you and the potato baby again, see it hasn't popped out to join the other potatoes in the pantry ". He says laughing as I chuckle and squeeze his neck as I say threateningly " Oh, you and your jokes, keep it up, but I don't think your balls are gonna be happy in the end ". As I smile widely as he gulps and walks in to hug Emma and says " Please don't let the mad, hormonal, pregnant woman chop my balls off! I want to be able to make a home for my family that is soon to grow, well, whenever Emma decides to look at me ". As he stares down at Emma. Emma and Christian were about to argue when my mom and step dad came in.
" Well, look at you, your glowing beautifully "! My mother chirps, hugging me gently as well. " thanks mom ". I say, hugging her back. " Step dad, how's it going "?! I say, smiling at him as he smiles back and says " Nothing just, waiting for my step grandchild to be born "! As I laugh with him. We both exchange hugs as we all get situated.
I never thought my mom would be up to dating and remarry. But, I'm glad she did, and that the guy is really sweet and always pays attention to her, and would do anything in the world for my mom. Kinda reminds me of David in so many ways.
It's been probably a few hours since Emma, Christian, mom and my step dad have gotten here. David went out to the store to get some things for tomorrow nights dinner.
" Ty, you feeling alright "? Emma asks, her eyebrows furrowing together, in a concerning look. I've been getting pain, but it's probably just the baby kicking me because he wants to be a little biach!
" I'm fine, just the baby kicking my bladder ". I say, with a fake smile. This shit hurts! What the hell is this child kicking?! My fucking ribs and kidney?!
A few minutes pass, as we watch the movie that Christian put into the DVD player. " I'm thirsty, want anything to drink guys "? I ask as Emma gets up and says " I'm thirsty too, but I can get it myself ". As she and I walk into the kitchen.
" You sure you're feeling ok? Every time I glance at you, you wince in pain ". Emma asks, concerned. " I'm fine, just the baby kicking ". I say, as I pour some ice tea into my plastic cup.
" Alright, if you say so ". Emma says, pouring herself some ice tea. As I go to bring the cup to my lips, a sharp pain overwhelms me, causing me to hunch over a little, holding onto the counter as I heard something splash onto the floor.
Emma and I froze in place, looking at each other in shock, not even daring to blink. " Please tell me your ice tea spilt on the floor ". Emma says, still not blinking, and staring intently at me. " Huh uh ". I say, shaking my head. She stood there as more pain washed over me, but this time worse.
" Well don't just stand there like an idiot!! Get me to the hospital "! I yell, as Emma fell out of her trance, coming back to reality. " Right "! She yells, running out from the kitchen, telling Christian, my mom and step dad that it was time.
" Christian, help your sister to the car, I'll have it started as Emma gets the baby bag and other things the baby and Tyler needs as Keith calls David to get his ass to the flipping hospital "! My mom yells, but no worry in her voice.
Christian got me into the car, as my mom sat in the drivers seat, ready to take off like a bat out of hell once Keith and Emma came. About 2 minutes later they finally jumped in the car and my mom rushed to the hospital.
Was I excited? Defiantly! Was I nervous? Well, obviously! Was I ready to become a mother, and soon be married in about a month? That is a question I'm not very certain of...
