Nick's P.O.V

We were sitting in the police car pulled over at the side of the road waiting for people speeding to drive by. Judy was next to me drinking her coffee. I was eating my donut. Blueberry, to be exact. While I was looking out the window the radio played Holding Onto You by Twenty One Parrots. I turned the volume.

"Oh this meh jam!" I said while I started to dance.

"Nick! We're on duty! We have to stay alert!" She said shutting off the radio.

"But I love Twenty One Parrots. That was my favorite song." I claimed sadly.

"And I love my job. Now let's get back to work. And maybe if you focus and do your work, you'll get something special from me tonight." She winked at me. Now that gave me inspiration to stay on task.

"Oh something, special, you say? Like what?" I said smirking.

"You'll find out." She said.

As I was leaning closer to her a car flew by us shaking the car violently. I turned on the sirens as Judy slammed on the gas pedal and took off after the speeder.

"Nick! Call this in!" She exclaimed to me I was already on it.

"Dispatch, dispatch! We have a 10-91 at jalen vine road in rainforest district. Request backup!" I called in.

"Roger. Backup is on its way." The lady said. Judy took a right into an alleyway away from the speeder.

"Judy what are you doing?! The speeders that way!" I frantically yelled.

"I'll cut him off on the next road!" She replied.

"I hope you know what you're doing Judy!" I said as we pulled out of the alleyway.

"Don't I always?" Judy asked.

I went to respond but was silenced by a semi truck ramming into us and blowing out car of the bridge and into the water. When we hit the water my head hit the dashboard and I blacked out.

"Nick! Nick! Wake up! Wake up!" I heard Judy's voice echo in my head as I snapped awake. The car had hit the bottom of the river. We were at least 20 feet down. Water was up to our waists in the car.

"Judy?! Are you okay?" I frantically asked.

"I'm stuck! Somethings wrapped around my leg! I can't get out!" She said. She started to hyperventilate when I calmed her down.

"Judy! Judy! Calm down. I'll get you out." I reassuringly said as I dove under looking at her leg to see what was wrong. I saw the car move and part of the door slice into her leg. I could hear her cry of pain from under the water I surfaced as I say Judy wince at her pain.

I told her the only way to get her leg off was to pull it off. I told her it was going to hurt but I had to do it. She nodded at me as I went under. I saw blood coming out of her leg as I pulled at it. Her leg wouldn't budge. I surfaced when I ran out of air.

"That foot isn't your lucky foot!" I said.

"Yea no dip, Sherlock!" She said.

"It's not budging." I'm gonna have to think of another way to get you out." I said.

"Well think faster! Waters coming in quicker." She said worryingly.

After about five minutes later, the water was up to our necks. I told her to conserve air so the air pocket would last longer. But soon the water covered her head and she couldn't come up for air. I saw her struggling as I got a big breath of air and went down to her. I put my lips to hers and I gave her my air as it tried pulling her leg off. It started to budge a bit when I went back up for air. After I got a big breath, I went down and gave Judy the air as I pulled her leg some more.

When she wasn't moving I looked up to see Judy floating having a spasm every 10 seconds. Her eyes were half closed and her mouth was open with water in it. I then realized why. She ran out of oxygen and had no choice to but to breath the water in. Then she choked and then drowned.

Fearing for her life, I surfaced and took a deep breath and dove under. When I got to Judy I tried giving her air but it wouldn't work. I realized the only way I was gonna get her out is if I pull her out. When I went for air, I saw there wasn't much air left. Only one breath left. I took that breath and dove under.

Once I got to Judy's lifeless body, I grabbed her leg and pulled with all my strength, and finally, her leg came off. I went to the door and opened it as I swam to the surface nearly drowning myself. Once I surfaced I gasped for air. I pulled Judy to land and started giving her CPR.

It took about 10 attempts until she finally woke up coughing.

"Nick.." She softly muttered.

"Judy!" I hugged her as I started to cry. "Don't ever leave me like that again!"

"I won't Nick. I won't leave your side." She barely said.

"I'm gonna get you to a hospital Judy. Just hold on." I said. I noticed her bleeding getting worse so I took my shirt off and wrapped it on her wound as I carried her to the hospital. The closest one was about a mile away. I had to make it.

"Ni-ni-Nick?" She barely said.

"Yes Judy?" I asked nervously.

"I'm really cold." She said.

"Don't worry Judy, were almost there."

Once we were at the door, Judy passed out. I screamed for a doctor once we got in and a nurse took Judy to an emergency room as I followed. They said they had to do surgery on her leg and that I had to stay back. I waited for what must've been hours on end. Mammals came in and out. I heard a voice call my name. It was Judy's parents.

"Nick! Where's Judy?!" They frantically asked.

"She's in her room. They'll tell us when we can come in." I replied.

"Is she okay?" Stu asked worryingly.

"I don't know." I replied when the nurse said we could come in. I ran to Judy and kissed her. Our kiss was deep and passionate. It lasted for about a minute until we pulled away.

"Judy I'm so-" I was interrupted by Judy.

"Nick?" She asked.

"Yes Judy?" I asked.

"I'm pregnant!"
