Caribbean Sea
June 22, 20:08 ECT"We're approaching Santa Prisca." Miss. Martian announced to the absolutely silent bioship. It was so quiet, you could have heard a needle drop.
It was a stony silence, one filled with awkwardness and tension... Oh boy, the tensions was so thick you could've cut through it with a steak knife.
"Drop zone A in thirty." Miss. Martian said.
Aqua Lad attached a bungee cord to the little symbol on his belt, it glowed blue as the two things clicked together. "Ready." He told Miss. Martian steadily, his face filled with nothing but determination, he had no worries or concerns over what had happened at Mt. Justice that had felt like it happened mere minutes ago.
Super Girl had her arms folded over her chest with a superior smile on her face as she sat in her chair. She had little worries over the conversation as well. At the hall, Batman had announced that they would have to work out who the leader would be for themselves.
And Super Girl knew that she was perfect for the job. After all, technically Superman ran the whole shabang with the league as well. Batman was sort of like a co-pilot. And anyways, since her mentor was the leader, she deserved to be leader.
Kid Flash and Robin served as minor inconveniences in her plan at the moment though. Both were sure to also want the position, and while nobody would take Kid seriously, Robin was another story. He too had been groomed for the role of leader, just like Super Girl had. But she was confident that she could figure something out when the problem arose, for now, she had to do perfect on this mission to show everyone she was ready.
"Heat and motion sensors are patched." Aqua Lads voice came through to the bio ship from his position on land. "Data is now on continuous loop. Move out."
"Drop zone B." Said Miss. Martian, standing up. Everyone else did to and the chairs melted away as bungee cords replaced them, coming from the ceiling for both Kid and Robin as the other three had no use for them.
"How cool is this?" Kid sang as his suit turned to black and he turned to Miss. Martian with a smile.
I rest my case, thought Super Girl, thinking of how she had told herself no one would take Kid seriously. And this was exactly why. Not that his playfulness wasn't a good thing, it was great. Just not right for the leader.
"Very impressive." Miss. Martian informed him, her suit doing the same.
"Uh... That works to." Kid said slowly before turning to Super Boy. "Hey, Supey! Not to late to put on the new stealth tech!"
"No capes. No tights." Super Boy growled. "No offense." He added tactfully.
"It totally works for you." Said Miss. Martian in a suspiciously Wally-like voice as she leaned over with her head rested in her chin, gazing dreamily at him. "Meaning that you can totally do good work in those clothes!" She said, blushing.
When she received no answer, she put on her hood, becoming camouflaged into the background like the bio ship.
Super Girl vowed to have a talk with Miss. Martian later about Super Boy, Miss. Martian seemed so confused by him and was just trying her best. Super Girl also now sort of wished she had stealth tech, but it was sorta ridiculous. She and Superman wore their bright colors in order to be seen because they were proud. Besides, today's costume similar to the one from her first mission was great. The only difference was that the shirt was tucked into the skirt and held in place with a yellow belt. The skirt was red, pleated, and V shaped. Her red boots ended just an inch below her knees. Her cape was the same as usual.
