Dick Grayson and Wally West sat with Kara Kent in her bedroom, all facing each other solemnly. Dick was on the fluffy pink comforter covering the bed, Kara was nestled among pale pink pillows on the windowsill, and Wally was seated at the ridiculous makeup table Ma Kent had given Kara, he was specifically on the bouncy Barbie punk stool, looking more comfortable then he should've been.
"Welcome to my bedroom." Kara said with a heavy sigh. The two boys were staring around it as if it were alien territory- their eyes wide as they took in just how girly the whole thing was.
"It's a lot... Pinker then I expected." Dick said slowly, his eyes slowly traveling across the room until the locked with Kara's. Shivering, she dropped his gaze almost immediately, unable to hold it and stay sane at the same time.
"Dude, it looks like Barbie threw up in here!" Wally scoffed, completely uncensored as usual.
"Shut up." Kara exclaimed. "Ma decorated it for me, it's not like I would've done it like... This." She gestured around at what Wally had described as Barbies throw-up.
"Anyways." Kara said, clearing her throat to drop the subject. "I believe we've come here to discuss Roy Harper yet again." She said with a small sigh. It was as if Roy was the only reason why they got together anymore- and it always had been that way.
When Kara became friends with Roy over their mutual hatred for authority, he introduced her to Wally and Dick whom she'd never have even thought of becoming friends with until then. Roy was the glue that had held the foursome together- Wally and Dick were close and Kara and Roy were close and Roy was friends with the two boys causing Kara to become friends with them.
Dick seemed to be thinking among the same lines. "Dude, ever since he quit that's basically the only reason why we hang out. To figure out what the hell he's doing with his life."
"That, my dear friend," Wally spoke up, aiming his fingers at Dick, "Is incredibly true. I say we go to the movies next weekend, that new movie with the Sprouse twins hits theaters on Saturday, at least, I think it does."
"It does." Dick nodded in conformation, "It's called Double Trouble."
"Great, we can see the movie next weekend, hurrah!" Exclaimed Kara sarcastically, clapping her hands together. "Now can we please at least try to take this seriously? I really care about Roy, and if you don't that's fine, but can we all at least pretend right now?" She crossed her arms, glaring at the two boys.
Wally and Dicks eyes widened as they shared surprised looks. "Kara, we are taking things seriously." Dick informed her while Wally nodded rapidly in agreement.
"Sorry." Kara sighed, her anger deflating like a balloon. She was overreacting, but then again, Kara had been on edge over a lot of things lately. "There's been a lot on my plate lately. Anyways, about the arrow-"
"There's no way it wasn't Roy's." Wally interrupted Kara, "What other archers do we know? If it wasn't Green Arrows, it's gotta have been Roy's."
Kara shifted uncomfortably. "Right, well..." She didn't want to deflate Wally's excitement bubble or tell him that she was talking to Roy, but she had texted her friend about it and he had assured her it wasn't him. "Don't you think Roy would've used an arrow more similar to Ollie's?"
"That would make a lot of sense." Dick said.
"Not necessarily." Argued Wally, obviously determined for the arrow to belong to Roy. "Lots of heroes and their sidekicks have differences, we wear different costumes, sometimes have slightly different powers-"
Kara rolled her eyes. "Yes, but we wear different costumes so that others can tell who we are." She responded swiftly, "And different powers are usually due to us not being quite as advanced in that department."
There was a monetary pause and then-
"Well, not all partnerships are the same!" Exclaimed Wally, "Each mentor and sidekick work differently. That arrow had to have been Roy's. There's literally no other explanation."
"It was a GREEN arrow!" Kara exploded, having been pushed over the edge by Wally's irritating and pointless argument. "There is absolutely no way it was Roy's! It's not his style to not brag about having saved you, he operates in red, and we've seen his arrows before! They look like Ollie's!"
For a moment, no one spoke.
"I mean, she's got a point." Dick interrupted the silence awkwardly.
Kara and Wally's heads swiveled over to Dicks direction.
"I do?" Kara asked as Wally, at the same time, asked; "She does?"
Dick nodded in conformation, drawing a bit of confidence. "I mean, Roy definitely would've come back to brag about saving Wally and to tell us that he was a good friend despite us 'abandoning' him. His color is red, and at this point in time, judging by the anger between him and Ollie, I don't think he would suddenly change to his mentors color. And we have seen his arrows before, they look just like Wally's."
There was another pregnant pause. Kara began to smile widely, glad that someone could understand that Roy definitely hadn't been the one to fire the arrow. Meanwhile, Wally couldn't decided whether he should be angry that Dick sided with Kara, jealous that his best friend was against him, sad that no one believed him, or just agree with the twos obvious logic.
"Fine." The red head said shortly. "I suppose the facts show that Roy did not fire that arrow. But-" he looked at the others.
"That leaves another question." Realization dawned upon Kara's face.
"Whose arrow was it?" Dick asked, voicing the question of the day.
I know this chapters short but school starts next week and I've been really busy lately! Don't worry, the next chapter will be a full episode so it'll be pretty long!!!
