Soon, after 15 years, I was watching as Aurora left the cottage. She was on her way to collect something that I really was not the least bit intrigued by. I was sitting in a tree, looking down at her as she paced and hummed to herself by the stream. I rolled my eyes, blowing air upwards to get a string of hair out of my face.
It was when I heard a horse approaching that my attention was captured. I looked to see a boy with a horse down the stream, watering it. Aurora looked to the boy as well and I watched her as the two noticed each other.
"Well, well," Diaval said, forming to a man and sitting beside me, "What would this be?" I looked from him back to the two, "Could it be that your one way of revenge is about to be ruined?" He asked.
"Shut up," I told him, and he sighed, letting his legs hang, "Interrupt them, will you?"
"Excuse me?" He asked.
"You heard me, Diaval," I said, "Now do as you're told," He huffed and fell back, shifting and then flying to the two. He screeched at them and they looked at him as he dove towards the boy.
I smirked as the boy fell and Diaval started circling back. He dove at the boy again and clawed at his clothes just to give off the impression of wanting to deal harm. The boy got Diaval away and said his goodbyes to the girl. She looked after him, sadly. I grinned slightly as Diaval flew to me.
"Are you better now?" Diaval asked, shifting.
"That's for time to decide," I said, and dropped from the tree.
"What?" He asked, coming down after me. I looked down to myself.
"Hm," I thought, and took the side of my robes in one hand, looking at them.
"Maleficent, what are you thinking about doing?" Diaval asked, and I smirked. I said an incantation and threw the robe around myself. It went up in emerald flames and when it dimmed, I looked to my human form I had taken on. I looked to my hands, then to Diaval. He had a certain horrified expression.
"Well," I put out my arms, "How do I look?"
"What, on earth did you do to yourself?" He asked, and I smirked. I started going out, "Maleficent," He said, but staid put. I went across the stream and stepped behind Aurora.
Aurora turned to me and jumped, breathing heavily.
"I'm sorry, did I scare you?" I asked, giving her an apologetic smile.
"Oh, yes," She said, smiling slightly as she recollected herself, "It's alright,"
"Of course," I said.
"Who would you be?" She asked, "I haven't seen you here before,"
"My friends call me Mal," I bowed slightly, "Yourself?"
"Aurora," She bowed back slightly, "Where are you from?"
"Just from around the forest," I said, "What about you?"
"Uhm, with my aunts," She said, "In the forest,"
"Is that what they told you?" I asked.
"What do you mean?" She asked, looking at me confused.
"Oh, poor girl, they didn't tell you?" I asked, looking at her sympathetically.
"Tell me what?" She asked.
"Come," I said, putting an arm around her shoulders, "There's more to you that meets the eye," I started walking her into the lighter side of the forest, towards the edge of the forest.
"I'm not aloud to go here," She said, shaking slightly.
"I bear only the intent to tell you the truth," I told her, putting a hand over my chest.

FantasiWhat if Maleficent's story was of her, being a him? This is my personal opinion of how the story would go. The story of Sleeping Beauty gender-bended and told from Maleficent's perspective and third person.
