I'm Broken is a story based on bullying. Bramble was bullied so bad that she felt like there was no way she could continue living. Who has the right to make someone feel that way? No one. To those out there who are bullied, you are NOT alone. It is NOT your fault. You did NOTHING wrong. To those bullies out there in the world, I have one question: Why?
In grade nine, I suffered from bullying. There was a guy in my class who constantly did stuff to put me down or annoy me. He took my things, he called me names, he's even kicked me. I'll admit, I kicked him back and I may not have been the nicest every second of my life, but what he did was horrible. He made me scared to go to school. He made me not want to go. He was in my class tis year and he will probably be in some this coming school year too. BUT, with the help of my friends, I stood up to my bully (and all the others who have bullied me). In grade 10, there was a huge difference. There would be a small comment every now and then, but it was better than grade nine.
To all of you out there who are bullied, don't tolerate it. Stand up for yourself! That bully has NO right to bully you. No one does. Tell a teacher, adult, friend, someone you trust. It might not be easy, but you won't regret it. Never forget that you are amazing, unique, perfect and special in your own way and NO ONE has the right to tell you otherwise.
You can always message me if you want to talk. About anything really, bullying, how your day was, books, or even if you just want to make a new friend! ;) I promise I won't bite!
I challenge ALL of you who read this to do the #nomorebullying challenge.
Have a summer my amazing book nerds!
