Prologue

"And Slam Dunk! Whoohoo new record!", said a boy named Jake Brenner. He was a perfectly quiet 16 year old boy. He loved video games, was social and a very intelligent student. He was also known as the Basketball legend in his school.

After playing basketball and beating his own record, he decided to go home. It was only three blocks away. He and his friend Eustace were neighbours so they were walking home together.

"Hey bro did you study for tomorrow's maths test?", Eustace asked Jake.

"Yeah. Well not much because it's too easy for me.", Jake replied.

"I just don't get the maths even when I try real hard. Can you please help tomorrow please please please please? I'll give my clash of clans account to you if you do!", Eustace requested.

"Okay okay don't worry I'll help you and I don't need anything in return. But just don't get caught and don't get me in trouble.", Jake said.

"Done. You're the boss. I still owe you for helping in 16 other tests so if you need anything, please don't hesitate to ask.", Eustace replied.

"Ok I will, thanks. Hey we've reached home I gotta go and play minecraft so bye. Smell ya later.", Jake said in a hurried manner.

"Okay bye. And by the way smelling each other is kinda weird though. Anyways asta la vista."

When Jake entered home his aunt was there so he greeted her and went to take a shower which only lasted a few minutes. Then he went to his room and turned on his laptop to play minecraft.

Just as he was about to load his world, his aunt barged in.

"Hey honey remember about the survey you did for the chemicals?", Jake's aunt said, excited.

"Yes Carla. And do you remember about the knocking rule?", Jake replied.

"Oh yeah sorry about that. Any ways forget about that, guess what? You have been chosen for the GENEREX!", Jake's aunt Carla announced.

"What? The GENEREX! Yeah! Whoohoo! Let's go right now I can't wait!"

"Hey hold your horses young man. Go change your clothes first.", Carla interrupted.

"Oh yeah I forgot about that."

**At the Development of Youth Chemical Labs (DYCL)**

"Ouch! That hurt! How many more injections are left?", Jake asks the injector.

"There are still more four of them Jake. You have to be patient. After all, not all people are lucky enough like you to get the GENEREX", the injector replied.

"Okay okay! I just need to calm myself.", Jake replies.

**After a hour and half**

"And that's it, the last shot. Tell me Jake, do you feel anything?", the injector asks Jake.

"No. All I feel is pain from the injection, and a bit drowsy.", Jake replies.

"Okay then. The drowsiness is totally normal. It's 11:00 pm now so go home and sleep. The effects will take place after you wake up in the morning. After you realise about your powers, report to us immediately at the military section. You will be informed about the true reason of this, and, of course all the answers of your questions.", the injector says.

"Okay, but can I know just now that will this have any side effects?", Jake asks curiously.

"No. But there are some matters which need to be discussed tomorrow. Till then, good bye."

"Okay bye."

After the conversation Jake and his aunt go to their home and he immediately falls on his bed, extremely tired and sleepy. Just as he closes his eyes, the world fades away.

He dreams about his past, his dreadful memories which he did not think about for 13 years...

"Quick! Go and take Jake in the safe room! I will come after defeating the enemies.", a tall, handsome man in his early thirties, said to his wife, Carrie Halls.

Carrie takes her 3 year old son Jake to the safe room where she watches her husband fight with many people. Many of them in vast, metallic armours, while the others fighting bare-handed.

"Mommy. I'm scared. Where is daddy?", little boy Jake asked his mom.

"Daddy is fighting bad people now. And he needs your prayers. So pray for daddy.", his mom replied

Jake's dad fights all the enemies and succeeds, but when he gets on his way to the safe room, suddenly a loud, banging noise happens. And Jake's dad falls on the ground, his head bloody.

Carrie shouted out in pain as she and her husband's heart were linked. If one would get hurt then the other would. If one would die, then the other would die after a while. Jake's dad's lifeless body laid on the floor, while the metallic figure advanced to the safe room, emptying his gun's bullets on Jake's dad's body. Just after the figure rips open the door of the safe room, an explosion happens at its back, and it drops dead on the ground.

After the figure dropped, it could be seen that it was indeed a suit, in which a dead person was lying. A woman appeared at the back. And suddenly Jake's mom bursted into tears.

She told the woman, "Carla, save my child please. His father is dead now, and I am also dying. I'll be dead in a few minutes. Please keep him."

"No please don't do this! You can't go like this sister!", replied the woman.

"You know I can't be alive anymore. Here, take Jake, and never let him be alone. When he becomes 16, get him take the GENEREX . It must be stabilised. Ahh, At last, I can go to a better place. Good bye my baby sister. And good bye son...", Jake's mom replied, exhaling her last breath.

After seeing this, Jake cried out real loud and the world faded away through his vision...
