CHAPTER 13: STRANGER

The sound made you shatter. Bucky's arms locked protectively around you and his gaze was full of worry. "Bucky?" You asked trying to hide the worry in your voice. He looked down to you and signalised you to keep quiet.

That is when you heard it, slow footsteps walking on what sounded broken glass. The steps sounded closer and closer until they stopped in front of your bedroom door. You quickly grabbed the handgun you had lying on your bed side table. Then it hit you that you were practically naked so you tightly wrapped the sheets around your body and sat up. Bucky was holding your waist ready to protect you, when you heard a gunshot and someone cursing in Russian.

Then the door slowly opened and you pulled the safety of your gun ready to fire, when Natasha's head crept out of the door. "You guys may want to come out for a sec." You let out the breath you didn't know you were holding and turned to Bucky. "We must get dressed" you said with a faint sad like on your face as you gazed down his hands and he laughed slowly with the most adorable laugh ever.

You stood up from the bed and ran to the closet to wear the first thing you see and you ended up pulling one of Bucky's t-shirts over your head which was long enough to cover your inappropriate parts. Bucky was already dressed in jeans and a tank top and he was glancing over you with a smirk on his face. "I love it when you wear my clothes..." he said. You smirked back and when he leaned in you left to the door. "Hey!" He said playfully.

You opened the door and found a just woken up Natasha dragging a dead body from in front of your bedroom door. You went close. "What the hell?"you asked.

"He seems like a HYDRA agent and I think he is over you sweety..." Nat said.

"Why would he want me?" You asked not waiting for the obvious answer. You, the telepathic subject of HYDRA had 'escaped' and of course they wanted you back. The question remained though, why would they send only one person to take me back to HYDRA since they know I am with the Avengers? Something was off with the story, it didn't seem like HYDRA to send their men to a certain suicide mission.

"Why would they send only one man?" Bucky asked, he was probably thinking the same as you were.

"I really don't know guys, I will take this guy to Tony for DNA recognition to see what he is hiding." Nat said and she left dragging the dead man with her....
