I woke up before the sun to start my morning ritual.

Wake up.

Go to the bathroom.

Weigh myself.

Write it down.

Get dressed.

Put on light make up.

Do my hair.

After this, I go downstairs and wait. As soon as I start walking downstairs, I hear yelling.
"Where the hell have you been?" My mother's voice sounds different, like she'd been crying.
"Danny, I've been working, you know this. Why are you so upset?" and my father.. it sounded... different.
"You smell like perfume, you have scratches on your back, you don't even touch me! WHO IS SHE?" There it was. Shes crying. Something my mother never does. Something is really wrong.
"Baby, stop. I'm not cheating. I love you." Daddy sounded desperate.
"Leave." and she's back.
"Danny, don-"
"Leave. Now." Just as I was about to walk back to my room, my father stepped out of the kitchen, and looked up the stairs. All I could do was look at him, and I swear he broke. I've never seen my father so vulnerable. Hannah grabbed my arm and pulled me into her room. Her face was red, and puffy like she'd been crying.
"What is going on? Is daddy leaving?" Her eyes started to water.
"I don't know." It was all I could say. I walked out of the room, and down the hall to mine. As soon as I shut the door, I ran to my phone. I unlocked it, and started to text Raven.
"Idk what's going on, but I need you. can we do something today?" I pressed send. I looked over at my iPod, and remembered what I had downloaded. I walked over and grabbed it, put my headphones in. I scrolled through my artists and found OM&M and pressed shuffle. A new song that I hadn't heard started playing.

" I believe it's time for me to be famous, And out of place. I believe it's time for me to move forward, When I break through"

Just as I started getting into the song, my mother opened the door.
"Get up. Now. You need to get on the treadmill." She looked at me with disapproval. "Change, and get downstairs." As she went to turn, she looked back at me. "I just don't know why you won't try and change. Maybe you would get a couple more dates. You know your sister said she would help you with your diet." and with that, she was gone. All I could do was sit there. It took everything I have to not cry.

I stood up, grabbed my shorts and tank top. I went to the bathroom and changed. Pulling up my hair into a ponytail and wiping off my makeup.

I walked down the stairs, into the room that has the gym. My father put it in when he was on leave one year. We used it more than he did. As I started to walk, my mom walked past and clicked her tongue. "You shouldn't have worn those shorts."

and I just stopped walking, making the treadmill throw me backwards into the wall. I hit the floor, and pulled my knees to my chest. My mother just staring at me in surprise. "Are you okay?"
"Leave me alone..." I looked at her with anger.
"Hay.."
"LEAVE!" I screamed at her. She looked at me once more, and walked away. I dug my face into my knees and cried. I couldn't stop.

15 minutes later, I stood up. Looking at my knees and inspecting my arms to make sure I was okay. When I started to walk my back started aching. It hurt so bad, I dropped to my knees. I heard footsteps run towards me.
"Oh my god, Hay, are you okay?" I didn't recognize the voice. When I looked up, it was Zak. "Here, let me help you up." He wrapped his arms around my waist and helped me up. I looked at him. His blue eyes were full of worry, and his dirty blonde hair covered one of his eyes.
"You really don't need to help me." I said with more anger than intended.

"I don't care what you say. You have a gnarly bruise on your collar bone, you just fell on your knees, and you look like you've been crying. Shut up, and let me help you." I looked at him, studying his face to see if there was anything I could take from it to show me why he was helping.
"Why are you here?" I blurted out. Stupid word vomit.
"Why not?" He said with no hesitation. Touchè. "Where we goin'?" He said, his arms still around my waist.
"Couch?"
"Sounds good." I didn't know why but I smiled. It was random, like I didn't have control of my face.

When we got to the couch, he set me down gently.
"Come here." He said quickly.
"Uh, why?" I raised an eyebrow.
"I need to see if you're hurt." He tried to look at my collar bone.
"Uhmmm... No." I said pulling away.
"I just want to see if you're okay." He reached for me again. This time I let him. He looked on my arms and legs, my neck and shoulders. When he was done, he went for my stomach.
"No. Don't touch me. Please." I started to tear, I couldn't help it.
"Okay, then let me see your back." He looked me in the eye. He was concerned, honestly concerned.
"okay." I turned around and laid on the couch stomach first. He pulled my shirt up and make a noise that made me jump.
"Hay... we need to get your sister. Now." He got up, and went to get Hannah.

As soon as he was out of the room, I went to the spare bathroom. I went to the mirror and turned. As I lifted my shirt, the first thing you could see was yellow. I lifted higher, and it got darker and darker until all you could see was blue and purple. Then I was out....
