"hey pearl, can you cast me a holo pearl so I can spar?" Connie asked, and pearl smiled. "Of course" and with a spin and a tap of her gem, there it was.

"What level?" Pearl asked, and connie grinned. "Expert please" pearl paused, but nodded. "Alright... be careful" she turned to the hologram. "Set level:Expert"

"Level set. Do you wish to engage in combat?"

Connie drew her sword. "Yes"

A flurry of blows. Connie defended against every single one. The holo pearl paused and connie held her stance.

"Defence rank A. 1 opening detected" the holo pearl lunged below her guard.

Connie gasped and deflected it as best as she could, the other's sword grazing her stomach as she leapt away.

She kept slashing at it, repeating the steps in her mind.

"Attack rank A" the pearl narrated, blocking another swipe. She laughed, enjoying this immensely as she aimed, not realising she let her guard down.

"2 openings detected!"

The hologram pearl slashed her deep on the arm. She screamed and pearl jumped up, drawing her spear and destroying the hologram, before running over to connie.

"Oh my goodness, are you ok?"

"I'm... fine" connie hissed, a bolt of pain shooting through her. Pearls eyebrows knit together in concern. "No, you aren't! Come on, let's go back to the temple and get bandages"
