I woke up to the aroma of bacon in the air. I slowly tried getting up, but laid back down from the pain I was feeling.
'Ow!' I yelped, holding my head. After hearing my pain, Jacob then came into the room.
'Hey, look who's finally up.' He smiled.
Did I stay here all night?
I looked at Jacob. 'Did I sleep here?' I said in a raspy voice. He nodded.
'You fell out after all those drinks and nearly throwing up a lung.'
My eyes widened. 'Oh no! I wasn't suppose to stay! Craig is gonna think something is wrong- Ow!'
I yelled laying back down from the headache. I literally felt like someone was repeatedly bashing my head with a hammer.
'Woah. Calm down.' He chuckled. 'Craig called late last night. I answered the phone and told him that I went to take Hayden something when I saw that you were asleep. So I said that you just stayed over there for the night.'
I sighed from relief. 'Thank you. I would have been screwed.'
He grinned. 'Oh.' He got up and went to his bathroom. When he came back, he had a bottle of ibuprofen in his hand. 'Here. I think you need this.' He joked, handing me the medicine and water bottle that he'd been holding.
I smiled, taking the pills and drinking the water behind.
I looked back at him. 'What even happened last night?'
He rose his eyebrows. 'You were completely drunk.'
I cocked my eyebrows. 'How drunk?'
He laughed. 'You said you were a cat, and moo'd. That's pretty drunk if you ask me.' We both laughed at my actions from last night, but they slowly died down into staring in silence.
My breathing slowed as I continuously looked from his eyes to his lips.
Go ahead. One little kiss can't hurt anyone.
My breathing slowed more and more the closer our faces got, until we were to the point where I let out one last breath. He placed his hand on my cheek and whispered something in Spanish. From what I heard, the only words I could make up were 'I' and 'You'. I felt the tingle from his minty breath hit my lips.
That is, until my phone rang, killing the whole mood.
I rolled my eyes, picking it up and checking the name. 'Mom'.
'Oh my god!' I said cheesing and answering, putting it on speaker.
'Hi mommy!' I jumped with excitement. 'Hi baby.'
'Hola Mami!' Jacob smiled. 'Is that Jacob? Oh, how I've missed you sweetie!'
He beamed. 'I miss you, too.'
'How have you guys been? I haven't talked to you in forever.'
'We're fine, you?'
'Great, I just want to see my baby again.' I heard her kiss her teeth. 'And where is that Craig?'
'He's at home, I just decided to visit Jacob for a little while.'
'Mhm, and has he proposed?' I sighed. My mom was just waiting for me to get married some time soon, even though I was only 21 and I wanted to wait a while. 'No. He hasn't.'

'See, Audrey? This is why I would most rather prefer Jacob over him-'
Audrey quickly took the phone off of speaker and looked at me. I smirked. Her mother always thought that we were going to get married because of our long-lasting friendship throughout all these years, and I honestly don't blame her. She put her head down and blushed, excusing herself from the room and walking toward the main entrance.
I heard her rambling on and on to her mother, switching her languages from english to spanish. I playfully rolled my eyes at her constant embarrassment from her mom.
I then saw Audrey's being enter the room minutes later. 'Bye mother.' She said in a frustrated tone, hanging up the phone. She fell back on the bed, taking a piece of candy off of my nightstand and popping it in her mouth. I chuckled a little.
She immediately turned her attention to me. 'What?'
'You chew funny.' I said, poking her cheek.
'Do not.'
'Do too.'
She furrowed her eyebrows. 'You look funny. Afros are out of style.'
I placed my hand on my chest, letting out a fake gasp. 'Oh, but you love pulling on this afro, don't you?' She snapped her head around to me quickly as her mouth made an 'O' shape. She hit my arm.
'Not Funny!'
I put my hands up in surrender. 'Okay, okay. Damn.'
Her adorable giggle pierced my ears , but was soon interrupted by her phone ringing once again.
She checked it, mumbling a silent 'Shit.'
'What?'
She got up and grabbed her phone. 'I have to go.'
She came up to me, kissing my cheek. 'See you later?'
'Obviously.' I teased, indicating that she'd most likely want another sexual favor soon.
'Cute.' She said sarcastically, leaving the room.
