I got out of the car, grabbing the roses out of my back seat. I walked up to our door, placing the key in and opening it with a huge grin wiped on my face.

'Happy-'

My smile disappeared when I saw that no one was in the house. 'Craig?' I slightly yelled, getting no response. 'Craaaaig?'

No answer.

I didn't even check upstairs or to see if his car was in the garage, considering the silence that replied to me. I sighed, plopping on the couch. I looked around when my eyes caught a folded piece of paper with my name on it. I picked it up, opening it. It read..

Audrey,

I'm sorry I'm not here right now. Something unexpected came up. I'll be back first thing tomorrow, beautiful. I love you. -Craig

I sighed from frustration and emotional pain. I looked down at the letter, my vision getting blurry as I croaked softly. 'Happy Anniversary...'

+++++++++++++++++++++++++

'I can't believe he forgot our 4 year anniversary and left.' I explained to Hayden and Taylor as I took another sip from the wine bottle. I called and told them to come over, knowing that they would help comfort me.

'Maybe it was something important that popped up.' Hayden said, trying her best to clear things up. I sniffled from the tears. 'He still forgot. No flowers, no chocolate, not even a 'Happy Anniversary'.' I rested my head on the counter in front of me. 'This day is now hell.'

'Yeah? And sitting here with mascara running down your face isn't going to make it better!' Taylor pointed out.

'Easy for you to say. You and Hayden actually have non-forgetful boyfriends!' I shouted.

'Oh! That reminds me, look what Brandon got me for our 1 year anniversary!' Hayden cheesed, placing her hand in front of Taylor to show her diamond bracelet. 'Oh my god! It's gorgeous!'

I grunted. 'God, you guys suck!' I placed my head back on the counter, causing a thud to echo off of the walls. I immediately felt someone pull my head back up by my hair.

'Excuse me? You are not going to let some douche bring you down! Pull yourself together!' Taylor said sternly.

I looked at her, realizing that she was right. It wasn't as much as him not being here, it's the fact that he forgot our special day.

These are the kind of things that make me feel unloved and uncared for.

I sighed, giving up. I knew that they would win this war. I got up and wiped my face. 'You guys are right.'

Hayden smirked at my change in attitude. 'Good girl.'

'And now that your feeling like your usual, confident self..' Taylor walked up to me. 'Are you fit to go to the club tonight?'

My eyes bulged. 'Woah, club? I don't know-'

'That's a yes!' Hayden said excitedly, throwing her hands in the air.

My eyebrows furrowed. 'I didn't say that I agreed to this.'

In a flash, they were already pulling me in the direction of Craig and I's bedroom.

'Oh blah, blah. You're going and that's final.' Taylor replied to my unheard statement, pushing me up the stairs.
