Chapter 4❤️

'Dinner was amazing, baby. I really appreciate it.' I said, rising from my seat and kissing him.

'Anything for you.' He said smiling.

After cleaning my plate, headed upstairs to brush the left over food off of my teeth and change. Since I took a shower this morning and I noticed that I've worn my jamies all day, I think I could at least change.

I changed into a white croptop and my grey sweats. It was just Jacob, so I really didn't need to upgrade my wardrobe at the time. I admired my hair in the mirror, toying with it a little. I slipped on my 'galaxy' vans and grabbed my IPhone, leaving the room.

When I got downstairs, I saw Craig laying on the couch watching some cheap-looking B.E.T movie. I laughed at myself knowing that it was probably the only thing left to watch on television now-a-days. I grabbed my car keys from the counter, catching Craig's attention from the noise.

'Where you goin', baby?' He asked.

'Damn.' I thought to myself. I knew that if I told him I was going over Jacob's, he wouldn't approve.

'I'm going to my friend Hayden's house for a while.'

'Hayden?' He said questioningly, walking toward me.

'Yeah, I met her at one of my night classes. We've been friends for a minute.'

'But what am I suppose to do while you're gone?' He pouted grabbing my waist.

I smiled as he pulled me close.

'Well, you could get the laptop, and there's some lotion in our room, and-'

'Funny.' He said sarcasticlly.

'I'm just kidding.' I said, poking at his lips, kissing them in the process. 'I'll be back later, okay.'

'Alright. Have fun.'

I opened the front door, waving one last time before closing the door and walking to the car. I got in the car and started it up, looking at my phone. 5:55. Since Jacob lives only about 7 minutes away, I figured I'd make it there by six. I sighed. I really hate having to lie to Craig. But he's sometimes too overprotective. I technically wasn't lying about Hayden, but I was about the location. I began to back out of the driveway.

'Heeeeey.' Jacob said, grinning. He welcomed me in with a hug, following me in as I entered.

I walked in to hear his stereo faintly playing music in the background.

'Welcome to Casa De Jacob, once again.' He said.

I smiled, looking around. As much as I've been over, I've never noticed how creative and unique his place was. Art was everywhere. I walked around, observing at his items in awe. I walked toward the counter near his t.v. when I noticed something.

'You still have Mario Kart?' I asked happily. He turned his brown orbs in my direction.

'Of course. We always use to play it as kids, so I thought it would be a pretty good memory.' He flashed a smile.

I smirked. 'Well, let's see if the wonderful Jacob Perez still has skills, eh?' I challenged.

He smirked and came in front of me, to where we were 1 inch apart.

'Oh please, I let you win.' I smirked, knowing that if I said that, she'd go into her competitive stage.

'Nuh-uh! Face it, Curly Cue. I won, fair and square.' She said, sticking her tongue out as if she were a 4 year old.

I put my hands up in surrender. 'Fine, I'll let you have it, but only because you're completely adorable when you're competitive.' I said, getting up to go into the kitchen, later realizing what I'd just said.

'Wait.' She turned to me. 'What did you say-'

'Are you thirsty?' I said, quickly changing the subject to get off of that topic.

'Uhm, yeah. Sure.'

'What do you want?' I said looking in the fridge.

'What do you have?'

I pulled out a bottle from the fridge. 'Some weird wine.' I said, unsure of where I received it.

She nodded, indicted that it was okay. I got two wine glasses out of my cabinet.

I walked back into the living room where Audrey was, pouring our glasses half-way.

Before drinking, she looked at me holding her glass up. 'To Friendship.' She smiled.

I smirked, knewing that it wouldn't be much longer. 'To Friendship.'
