Regis pulled his blade from Natasha's body and watched as she fell to the ground gasping. He turned his head to Rhoan and started walking towards him. Rhoan took a step back for each step forward Regis took, fear creeping up his spine.
Regis held up his arms, his palms open, blade still in hand. "Well hello there, Rhoan. It's been a long time." He now had a much friendlier voice, but Rhoan didn't buy it.
"Who are you?" Rhoan asked.
"Ooooh I see. You really don't remember huh? I guess the intel they gave wasn't wrong." He scratched the back of his head. "Okay, so I know how all of this looks, you know, me killing Natasha and all. But I promise you, that's a good thing." He said the last three words slow, placing emphasis on "a good thing".Rhoan looked beyond Regis to Natasha's body. A figure came from the shadows and stood beside her. He wasn't wearing a vendetta mask. He put a finger to his lips, signalling Rhoan to be quiet, he then proceeded to lift Natasha's body and escape with her.
Good.
Rhoan thought, at least she was safe. Or...he hoped she was. He really didn't know who that person was or whether or not they were connected to Regis.
"How is that a good thing? Killing her, sending your men after me? Stabbing me?" Rhoan shook his head, "Who the hell are you people?"
More men like the one who took Natasha came below, three of them in total. Regis didn't seem to notice their presence.
"Come with me Rhoan, I'll explain everything to you." He paused, "But first. I have some guests to take care of." Three blades materialised between his fingers and he spun around and threw them, everything happening so fast Rhoan couldn't believe the other men managed to dodge them. Rhoan didn't even see when Regis switched weapons because he was still holding the blade he stabbed Natasha with the entire time they were talking.
The men rushed Regis, throwing their arms out at him. Both his arms were raised into the air, Rhoan saw that it was the same wires that Natasha used earlier that now held Regis' arms above him.
"I see. So they really did make more of us. Disgusting." Regis spat, his voice becoming darker, deeper. He yanked his arms down and the men came flying forward. Three more blades were thrown and this time one of them made home in the face of one of Regis' attackers. "I guess they couldn't make you exactly like us, could they?"
"Like ...us?" One of the men asked.
"Oh Natasha didn't tell you? I'm one of the four." Regis laughed and rushed the two men.

Meanwhile, Rhoan stood frozen, watching the fight from a safe distance. He was startled when someone tapped his shoulder. He turned around to see another of the men that were now fighting Regis. He signalled to be quiet and then whispered to Rhoan to follow him. He helped Rhoan to his feet and walked away.
"What did he mean four? I thought there were only three of them." The man grumbled beneath his mask. He shook his head, placing that worry in the back of his mind. "Let's get you to safety. I'm sure you have questions." The man said, as they made their way through the tunnels. They came up to the surface again then made their way to a parking lot.
No one was around, it was empty, quiet. The man in the mask pressed a finger to his ear and spoke. "Subject acquired, requesting pick up." Rhoan listened as the man ratted off their location and then a short while after a car drove into the lot and they went in. The car sped off and Rhoan looked behind him, only to see Regis step from the shadows.
******************************
Rhoan sat down on a chair beside Natasha's bed. She was resting now, sleeping peacefully while she recovered from the stab wound. There was apparently really good medical care here. Where ever here was. He still did not know what any of this was about but he was told that for his safety he couldn't leave. He would be given answers but seeing as Natasha was out he assumed it wouldn't be any time soon. He would have to bide his time until Natasha recovered, then he could figure out what all this mess was. He dozed off beside her bed and that night, he dreamt about the deaths and screams of people who lost their loved ones and of Regis amidst all the suffering.
