Natasha awoke to Rhoan's face beside her bed, he was sleeping. He still looked like that little boy she once knew. The memory was still high in her mind, the smiling little boy, the innocent little girl, the beeps of the machines and the fear that came from being studied. She shook her head, that was ages ago. She wouldn't dwell on that, she had better things to do.

He opened his eyes, sleep draining away. "Hey, how are you feeling?" He asked.

She sat up and winced at the pain in her stomach, "I've had better days." She said. She looked at his leg, they had treated him too, evident by the bandage wrapped around where his wound used to be.

"Haven't we all." He said.

"How did we get here?" She asked. She had no idea what happened after Regis stabbed her, she had passed out.

Rhoan explained what happened after Natasha and Regis' short, but nearly fatal, encounter. Natasha bit her lip when she heard about the men that died during her rescue.

"I don't think they stood a chance." Rhoan said. He saw her face and stopped, deciding not to go on since it was making her upset. "Hey, I never did thank you for rescuing me. I would have been dead if not for you."

"Yeah well, don't thank me yet. That wasn't from the kindness of my heart."

Rhoan leaned back in his chair, "What do you mean?"

"We need you Rhoan...or rather, who you used to be."

Rhoan narrowed his eyes, "What do you mean "who I used to be""

Natasha turned her head and began explaining everything to him. "There were four children once," She began.

"Okay but what do kids have to do with- "

"Don't interrupt me." She said, glaring at him, "As I was saying. There were four children, nobody knew what happened or how they were able to do what they could do, but humans, being what they are, feared what they couldn't understand. They were taken, poked, prodded and experimented on for most of their childhood life." She folded her arms and sat back in the bed, Rhoan could see it was uncomfortable for her, but he wanted to know everything.

"It was hell. When they were in their teens, they were rescued. One of the men working for the people who took the children decided they would set the kids free, taking the care of them into his own hands. When they got out he encouraged them, helped them to gain control over their abilities." She smiled.

"What you can do is a gift, use it to make yourself better and become something in this world, he would say. The children grew up under his care and they all came to master their abilities." She looked at him then, "Their names were Risa, Dante, Conrad... and Regis"

Rhoan unfolded his arms and sat forward, "The same Regis that tried to kill us?"

"Yes. They started working for a secret organization lead by their father (the guy that saved them) that dealt in assassinations of the world's most dangerous criminals and the recruitment of others like the children."

"SO what happened to Regis?"

Natasha paused and looked away, "Regis...got lost. I don't know what got to him, but one day he just went off, going about conspiracies and how they weren't safe anymore. Said they needed to leave before it was too late. He took off. They tried to get him back after he resurfaced a while after, but he killed Conrad and took his body. Dante took it hard; he was closer to Conrad than any of them were. He went missing after everything had happened."

Rhoan shook his head, "That's a really touching story, abilities and all that, but you still haven't answered what I've wanted to know. What does this have to do with me?"

"Because Rhoan, we are those children. Me, you and Regis. We are the remaining three of those four children."

Rhoan stood up and walked to the far wall in the room. The room was silent for what seemed like an eternity to Natasha. She wondered what was going through his mind, if he was confused, if he believed her, if he didn't. The silence was broken by a small chuckle that then grew into a full on laugh.
