"Sylivia, the vial is ready."

"Good. Inject it into the tank." Sylvia smiled, he was in pain. Dumb freaks, always walking around with their enhanced selves like they were better than everyone else. They were all killers, no matter what innocent facades they put on. Thats why she loved her job, because it caused these monsters so much pain.

She watched as they injected the vial of blue liquid into the pump that connected to the tank he was in, this was the best part. As soon as the contents of the vial settled in, she sat back and awaited the spectacle that was to come. She looked forward to seeing how long he could last. She didn't even know what it did, she was only told to use this once before on the female monster that tried to cause her so many problems earlier, she only knew that it hurt them. And apparently, it hurt them really bad, the female one even threw up and passed out several times from the pain.

"Lets see how you fair." She said, a slow smile etching it's way on her lips.

The headaches that Rhoan had still lingered but they weren't as taxing as before. He saw memory after memory of the days when he was young. He even started to regain feelings that were long lost to him in the sea of forgetfulness.

He remembered his profound respect and kinship for Conrad, the slight annoyance yet unmistaken loyalty and love for Regis, and most of all, the love he had developed for Natasha. She was his first everything; first kiss, first woman to ever render him speechless by look alone, first flirt and first love.

It surprised him that even when he had lost his memories, he never once felt that way for anyone else.

Another headache, another flash, another memory coming into the light.

He and Risa had been given an assignment. To infiltrate and recover sensitive information stolen from the government and to assassinate the man behind it. It was to be clean, no noise, no detection. Get in, recover, kill, then get out.

She didn't need him really, she could have handled it on her own but she somehow convinced their father to let him come along. His abilities weren't even suited to the task, he was mainly deployed when they wanted to wipe out organizations or large amounts of targets quickly, but he went along all the same.

They got in and they got the information, but someone had tipped off the man they were to kill and he knew they were coming, it was all a trap. The mission had gone to hell, no longer a matter of stealth. Rhoan couldn't remember a time where he had to fight so hard to survive, pushing his abilities to the Max.

He had to protect Risa and make sure no one left the location alive. He was defending them against a barrage of bullets, generating a large push effect to reflect the incoming bullets back towards the people firing them before ducking behind a wall.

"And you didn't wanna come?" Risa said, they were back to back at this point, him watching one side and her watching the other. A man came up on her side and his hand was wrapped up in those chains she used, Risa was a special one. Displaying characteristics of two different types, she had the stealth and she could generate weapons, only those chains though.

His hand was pulled into the air just as he fired and she disappeared, appearing in front of the man and cutting his throat. He forgot she had that enhanced speed thing too, she was gifted, her mastery of her abilities second only to Conrad. He was a scary one.

They fought with everything they had and they made it out, only fate didn't seem to want to let them go that easily. Just as their backs were turned as they walked out, a man crept from out of nowhere and fired a shot. Rhoan, somehow, moved into the way in time before Risa could get shot, pushing the man into the wall so hard he died. The bullet lodged into his stomach and he fell.

When he woke up he was in the infirmary bed, Risa at his side. They had saved his life but he was only glad she wasn't hurt.
She held his hand and tears ran down her face, he smiled, she was crying for him, because he got hurt.

"Hey I'm OK, you don't need to cry." When she looked back at him her face was furious. She slapped him so hard he winced. He thought she would stop at one but she continued her onslaught.

"Are you crazy? Why the hell would you do that!" She shouted. He winced at the pain, but he was calm.

"I didn't want him to shoot you Risa, what else should I have done?"

"Deflect the damn bullet, you IDIOT!"

He paused. That... actually made sense. He started to laugh, it suddenly became really funny. She had the most incredulous look on her face before it dawned on her why he was laughing, that thought didn't even cross his mind. She started to laugh too, shaking her head and hugging him, running her hand through his hair.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking, I thought this was the only way." He said mid laughter.

"It's fine. Thank you." She said, he took a bullet for her and she loved him even more because of it.

The memory calmed any remaining headaches, they were completely gone. He smiled, he would get through this, it would be alright.

The thought was incredibly short lived, however, as searing pain hit him with the force of a speeding train. The memories flashed by in his head, memories he would have loved to see.

The only thing he saw next was Regis killing Conrad, over and over a thousand times. The words appeared in big bold letters in his mind before they melted into a sea of blood. Flames appeared in his mind and he felt each lick of red hot fire, Regis' mask appeared amidst the chaos.

REGIS KILLED CONRAD! HE WANTS TO KILL US ALL!!

This was too much, it was horrifying. He threw up, unable to hold it in, before everything went black.
