I gasped as I felt as if half of me just died inside as I collapsed onto my hands and knees. Suddenly, the memories flooded in and I couldn't stop myself from throwing up as I looked at all the dead bodies that surrounded us.
I crawled over to where the hostages should have been and held back tears. Why did we let them escape! I'm such an idiot!
"Seth?" Ben asked, clearly worried. "Do you remember what happened?"
"Yea," I groaned, holding myself up and trying to pretend that I was alright. "Every single detail." I picked up the note with a frown.
"Ben, I need your help," I said. "Could you help me find my friends."
"Sure, but first, what happened?" Ben asked. "Oh, and while your telling me, can you maybe get my out of this thing?!" He gestured to the bar that held him in place.
"Yea," I said as went over to him and pulled. "I don't really know what happened, I just made a contract and then we became one. It was weird, like we were both thinking as a single being. I was overpowered with energy. It was addicting." I slowly looked down at my blood soaked body and gagged. "Well, most of it was."
"Do you feel anything now?" Ben asked as I finally yanked the bar off. He fell down onto the floor but got up right away.
"Yea, I do. Why? Do I look different?" I asked, noticing the changes. I felt lighter, faster, more powerful. It was like I was on steroids, or what I assumed it'd be like.
"Well, I can't really tell with all the blood on you, but your eyes have became more green," Ben replied before looking at all the workers who where tied up. "Ok, I'll help you. But that'll mean that I need to called that glitchy asshole. You untie everyone with that dagger that you have while I contact him."
I looked down at the black knife with disgust. Did that really turn into a sickle from my blood?
Turning back to my arm, I saw a large gash in my arm that was covered in the thick Crimson liquid. I didn't notice it until now since I was entirely red.
I picked up the dagger cautiously before making my way over to the first person. His eyes widened in fear.
"P-please D-don't hurt m-me!" He yelped, making me freeze in my place.
"What...?" I asked with a slight quiver in my voice.
"I saw what you did!" He yelled. Everyone turned to see what was going on. "You killed all of those people without mercy! In fact, it looked like you enjoyed it, you sick monster!"
Suddenly, Ben appeared out of almost nowhere with ice covering his hands into long claws that where pointed at the mans throat. Strong cold winds surrounded them as Ben gave him the scariest glare that I've seen.
"Do you want to see a real monster, you judgmental prick." He growled lowly.
"N-no! I'm s-sorry!" He cried.
Ben snorted. "Wimp," he said before jumping down and heading back to his phone call.
I used the bloody dagger to cut off the mans restrains and right away he ran off. I groaned before going to the next person, who thankfully was more friendly.
After everyone was done, Ben came over.
"So, what's the word?" I asked.
Ben frowned. "We have to wait until the glitch arrives.
"I'm already here," said an annoyed voice. We turned around to see Sachi with his arms crossed. He smiled at me while giving Ben a hard stare. It's like he didn't even care that I was covered in blood.
"Come on, you too, we have to go," he said emotionless.
"Wait," said one of the maids. "I think I know someone who knows those girls."
"Ok, you come along too. Now let's go."
We all nodded and followed Sachi outside to where a helicopter was waiting.
"Whoa," I breathed. I checked my pockets for my camera and took a pic. What? It was cool.
We all climbed on, with Sachi in the pilots seat, me in the front, and Ben, the maid, and two security guards in the back who looked ready to pounce on anyone in a second.
"Do you know how to drive this?" I asked. Sachi gave me an annoyed look before switching on a few levers.
"Yea, as long as it's electrical I can just control its software," he replied. He then grabbed on to what looked to be the steering wheel and lurched forward. After a few moments later we where airborne.
I stared down at the island with a sad smile before returning to my hard glare.
I'm going to find all of those demons and take back my friends and family.
Then I'm going to make them pay for messing with me.
