Seven years, three weeks.
It has now been seven years and three weeks since Sami has gone missing.
Three weeks.
It has now been three weeks since Tyler and Troye had dinner with Hannah and Ingrid.
Over those three weeks, they kept in touch and have grown pretty close. They were having dinner once more, this time at Tyler and Troye's house before the girls went back home to Ajana. "When are the going to be here?" Tyler asked Troye as it was nearing six thirty.
"They should be here any minute now." Troye replied. Troye was more wary of keeping in touch and befriending Hannah and Ingrid.
There was something about their deep questions and vague answers. Something about the way they always had an excuse. An excuse as to why they go speak privately in the next room, an excuse to why neither Troye nor tyler had ever met or saw a picture of Marelyn. An excuse as to why they are going home a week earlier than planned, an excuse as to why Marelyn went home a week before themselves.
He voiced his suspicious to Tyler who said that he himself has thought about it as well but had written it off ad nerves because these were the first people they had allowed themselves to get close to since Sami's disappearance. If tyler so easily brushed past his judgment Troye could too and he did.
The sudden sounds of the oven timer and the door bell jerked Troye out of his thoughts. As tyler made his way to the kitchen Troye made his way to the front door. "Troye! Hi!" Ingrid all but yelled wrapping her arms around Troye. "Ingrid!" He yelled back as he pulled away.
He repeated the process with Hannah before leading them into the dinning room. Tyler was setting the table and paused to greet Hannah and Ingrid. The group sat around the table talking about everything and nothing. "We are definitely going to have to visit you in Ajana sometime soon." Tyler said taking a sip of his wine.
Another nervous glance. "What?" Troye asked.
"It's nothing." Hannah started. "It's just that a while ago a family moved in next door to us, a husband and wife and their daughter. From the start I could tell they didn't like us but it wasn't until Marelyn tried to befriend their little girl and the man came out yelling, 'what did I tell you about talking to those faggots?' That we realized it was because they're homophobic."
Troye gave them a sympathizing look and ingrid continued, "every since that day, they haven't been quiet about voicing their opinions about us and I don't want anyone else having to go through it."
They finished eating soon after that. Hannah and ingrid had to leave early the next morning so they said their goodbyes with promises to keep in touch.
A/n
I know it's short but I wanted to get something up because I haven't updated in a while. Plus I wanted to give a little insight on Troye's thoughts.
I have nothing else to say here.
Alright Adiós
