Where Is Sami? {Troyler Au}

Sami's parents were the most loving and thoughtful people anyone could ever meet. It was obvious how in love they were and how much they loved Sami. They were known throughout the neighborhood as the welcoming committee, not just because they were always the first people to welcome new people to the neighborhood but also because they were welcoming and accepting of everyone.

But losing a kid changes people, it takes its toll. No one blames them. No one really can. They cry a lot, Sami's parents. She saw them cry only once when Aunt Sage's baby had to visit heaven. When that happened she placed kisses all over their faces until they smiled. Sami then scolded them for crying telling them to be happy because Aunt Sage's baby would have a good time in heaven. "Heaven is a beautiful place" she would say. "Everyone there is nice and I bet there is a lot of trees for Aunt Sage's baby to climb." That made her parents laugh and Sami was proud that she made them happy.

They cry a lot now and had Sami been here she wouldn't have stood for it. She would have done whatever it took to make them smile again. Of course, if Sami were here, they wouldn't have anything to cry about all the time.

But she isn't here and they do cry a lot, especially on days like today. They cry on Sami's birthday and the day she went missing the most, which is coincidentally the same day. They also cry on her adoption day, or her 'got ya day' as the family preferred to call it. They cried on any holiday really and mostly every night.

They clung to each other more now than ever. Their families had worried that this would drive them apart but it did the opposite. Seven years later and they still are as full of hope as the day she went missing that she would come home.

The day one of them lost hope would be the day there wasn't a put together home for Sami to come home to.

All of the chapters will probably be a little longer than this if not this length, hopefully that'll make them easier to write and I'll writ more therefore I'll update more.
