-Twenty One Days Later-
"I don't know if I can do this. I'll always be the girl who got kidnapped. I'll always be the victim. Always. There is no changing that. Not now, not ever. " Sami said with tears in her eyes.
"Sami, you aren't just a victim. You are a surviver. That's what you'll always be. " Troye said trying to sooth Sami. Tyler pulled her into a hug and tried not to wince as she noticably stiffened.
"Follow me. " he said leading her into the kitchen, Troye followed behind them. Tyler got three pots out of a cupboard and filled them with water and set them each on the stove.
"What are you doing? " sami asked confusion laced her voice and she sniffed. Troye also had no idea what Tyler was doing but he didn't say anything.
Tyler then got out a potato, an egg and some coffee beans. "What are you doing? " Sami asked once again. She was getting slightly annoyed. Tyler continued to not answer her. Now that the water boiled Tyler put each thing in a separate pot for a few minutes.
Sami was getting annoyed now. Finally Tyler put the potato and egg on their own sperate plate and poured the coffee into a mug.
"Tell me what you are doing. " Sami snapped fully annoyed with being ignored. Troye still said nothing.
"Tell me what you see. " Tyler said gesturing to the things on the table.
"A potato, an egg and coffee. " she said looking back up at Tyler with a confused face.
"Look closer. " Sami peeled the shell from the egg noticing how hard and white it was underneath. She sipped the dark rich coffee and she poked the now soft potato. "I still don't understand. "
"The potato, the egg and the coffee beans all faced the same obstacle. They were all put in hot water. The potato went in strong and hard but came out soft and weak. The eggs we're fragile but the water made them harder. But the coffee wasn't changed by the water. Instead the coffee changed the water and made it something new."
Both Tyler and Troye wrapped sami up in their arms, "It's up to you to decide, are you a potato, an egg or a coffee bean? "
A/n
So this is it. It's over.
Firstly, thank you to everyone who kept reading what I was sure would be a train wreck from the start. Thanks to everyone who commented and voted.
Sorry for making you wait so long for this, and let's be real, every other update. I've actually had this done since like chapter four but I kept telling myself I would add to it. I reread it a little bit ago and I like it like this, I think.
Uhm, future projects? I'm currently writing a lot of things but the first thing you'll probably see is either 'To this day' it's a Troyler short story. Shorter than this but too long to be a one shot. Or Everything Everything (based on the book everything everything by Nicola Yoon) which will be a full length fic.
Do you want me to post in here when those are up? For those of you who are shit at checking your notifications unless it's for specific stories, Luke myself.
Uh, yeah. That's it. The end.
Alright. Adiós.
