You are not Alone

She always imagined what her big day would be like, just like other women did at such an early age, Ziva David was more then a human weapon. So much more in fact, she even made a list of what she wanted to achieve in life at such a young age with a childhood friend. She would never have thought even for a moment, that it would play out in such a way as it has for her. Growing up was one of the bitter times in her life that she believed at one time shaped her into a monster. She felt as though she was molded into what her father wanted her to be, an assassin, one of Mossad's best.
It wasn't until that fateful day when a dear friend Jennifer Sheppard crossed paths with Ziva yet again, did a new trail lead the Israeli to chose a different path on the fork of life choices. Jen proposed that Ziva assist NCIS in a liaison position. Ziva was hesitant at first, not to sure of the direction in which it would take her and how her father would take to the idea, but something told her to take the position and see where it would lead her.
It couldn't be too bad, she did want a way to escape walking in her father's footsteps yes? Once she accepted the proposal there were a whirlwind of events that all in some affect lead to this current moment in time, the day she was going to marry the man who has proven to her time and time again that she was not alone. The same man that risk his own life for her and took chances of damaging their friendship by killing her old boyfriend, just to make sure she wasn't being used by her own father yet again.
Today was the day Ziva was going to say "I do" to this same man who held so many meanings to her. Partner, coworkers, friends, lovers... soulmates. Yes, in all the irony Ziva is going to marry Anthony Dinozzo, her soulmate and father of their daughter. The man that took her back into his life lovingly after she thought he would have given up after she hid Tali from him.
It all seemed surreal, the fact that she was given a second chance by the man who begged her almost four years ago to the day, to start a life with him. She couldn't, she was broken and scarred. She did not want to bring him down with her, she needed to do it alone. She knew it was a mistake the moment he went back to the states however she needed to do it on her own.
When she found out she was pregnant she had an emotional melt down. She was mixed with feelings in a toss between awe and wonder to being absolutely terrified and mad at herself.
Somehow she manage and decided to have the baby and not say a word to Tony because she did not want to disrupt his life, that was the last thing she wanted to do!
When she heard Trent Cort was after files her father had in the family farm house she did whatever means necessary in order to assure the safety of her child. Even after having Mossad take her daughter to Tony she knew she could not reach out to him or it may lead harm to the two people who meant the world to her.
Sometime after having to part ways with her daughter, Ziva found out that the threats were neutralized and she got in touch with Tony once again at the café in Paris where they road a moped all those years ago.
It took some time, about two months to be exact, until Tony began to feel more confident that he could begin to move on from the secrecy. The way he saw it was Ziva did what she had to do to protect their daughter and he would have done the same thing if he was given the situation.
That's were this day comes into effect. Not too long after Tony verbally told her she was forgiven, their partnership as lovers blossomed. Tony proposed in a way only he could think of, he took her to NCIS with Tali to visit Gibbs one day. He asked Gibbs if he could watch Tali for a bit while he and Ziva would go downstairs to say hi to Abby. Gibbs understood seeing as Tony went to his house the night prior to explain his scheme.
As soon as Tony and Ziva entered the elevator and the doors closed Tony punched the emergency switch. Ziva was startled and didn't understand until the moment she saw Tony turn and look her directly in her eyes. He knelt down and after saying some sappy speech he asked her to be his wife.
Ziva recalls she was never more surprised in her life than in that moment as she is brought back to the current moment at hand by a knock at the door.
"Ziva!!!! Are you in the gown yet!? Please say you are! It's killing me I have to see! Abby exclaimed behind the closed door.
