~Chapter 16:

We had made a fire for the night. The group of us minus Mitch were split into two.

The girls.

And

The boys.

We had decided to split the camp so that we could talk as a group and figure out the best way to get out of the game and try to kill Herobrine while he was in Mitch's body.

The huge question everyone wanted to know was... How the heck did Herobrine get into Mitch's mind? It just doesn't make sense.

"Claire? Are you feeling okay?" I instantly look up at the voice. I must of been staring into the distance again. I've been doing that a lot now since the Mitch incident. It's not very fun without him.

I nodded slowly. "Yea... It's just not the same though."

The twin looked at me understandingly. "...okay. Just tell me if your feeling down. Okay?" I flashed her a soft fake smile.

My gaze slid over to the boys side of the camp. They were having a great time. Laughing, chatting, but Jordan was just there, sitting with the guys, but saying nothing. His expression was pure enjoyment but, he still looked a little lost.

His eyes suddenly turned to mine. I looked down quickly, blushing. Why is it every time he looks at me I feel so... Weird?

I suddenly feel dizzy. Time to get out of this stuffy place. I stand up and walk off out into the bigger area of the forest; sitting down next to a small pond of water. I dip my hands in and throw water in my face. Even though it's refreshing, I wished that it would wake me up from this game... I guess the developers of this head piece didn't know about this stuff... Or maybe they did?

I sighed lightly as I threw a small pebble into the pond, skipping it a couple of times. My head suddenly remembered a song I used to sing at a lake near my house.

"Just close your eyes... You'll be alright..." My voice carried off as my eyes wondered around the scene.

"You and I'll be safe... And... Sound..." A new voice chimed in. I looked up behind me and jumped at the sight of Jordan's smirk. "Hey, whatcha doing out here alone?"

My heart felt like was going to pump right of its chest. What the hell is wrong with me? Do I actually like him?

"Mind if I sit next to you?" I shook my head and moved over letting him sit down next to me. My body being squished up against a tree and him. "Um... Do you want to... Sit on my lap?" My face heated up as his cheeks flushed a soft rose. "Well? Do you?"

Hesitating, I nod my head and lit myself onto his lap.

"You're not as heavy as I thought." He says. My thoughts were running wild. Offensive? Cute? Bad thing? Good thing? He must of noticed my face because she started rubbing my shoulders softly and chuckled. "I'm sorry... I didn't mean it in that way." A sigh of relief passes though me.

"I didn't think so..." I lie. His head lifts up, looking out at the pond.

"Why are you out here alone?" He says concerned. "It's dangerous with Herobrine out there."

"I'm not going to be taken over Jor-"

"You thinking about it isn't relevant, Claire. If he takes over you. I don't know what I would do with myself."

"That's the same with me-"

"Claire, if I get taken over, you must... And I mean must get away from me. Leave the game if you can." I drew in a quick breath at his words.

"No, I'll stay with you, I don't care what he-"

"No Claire. You need to listen to me! If I'm forced to hurt you, I'll kill myself." My eyes start to welt up. "Oh no... Don't cry, please!" I shake my head. I can't stop myself.

"I can't."

"I know something that will make you stop... But you have to be up for it." My eyes flick straight up to his and I give him a nod.

He takes my chin in his right hand, looking at my eyes with that soft glow that he always seems to have. I feel my cheeks heat up as his lips draw closer to mine. Knowing what was coming, I shut my eyes slowly. As I expect, his lips land on mine. His soft and chapped lips matching perfectly with mine. Like he said, my tears stop falling, but he doesn't stop. My hand creeps up behind his neck while his hands ran down to my waist to hold me in place. He deepens the kiss every time and time again making my lips hurt.

When we finally broke apart, my lips a probable rose red.

"You're so cute when you're flustered." He says, running his thumb over my cheek. With that, he kisses my forehead and lies back on the tree behind us.

I lye back onto his chest, hearing his heart beat. It was considerably fast for the amount of time he had been out here with me.

And that's when it hit me.

Something bad is defiantly...

About to happen.
