"They're coming! Keep the children safe! Know that my kingdom was a great kingdom and that this world was once a evil free land. Be sure that it returns that way some day."
"Grab the King. Kill his family. This Kingdom is mine. This kingdom will fall! "THE FALLEN KINGDOM!"
For the one hundredth time, my eyes let out another tear. Herobrine had given me a box of videos to watch to let me calm down and get my head off of the pain.
Among those videos was a small CD full of recorded distress signals.
Instead of helping the pain go away, it's been getting worse. The more time I'm in this game, the more of the chance I'm going to die.
The head gear is going to shut off my brain!
"Claire?"
The sudden voice made me jump. A pair of steady hands held my shoulders.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to frighten you." I shook my head gently, knowing if I moved it too much, my head would send out a jolt of pain. "I wish there is something I could do to help." I looked up at him with a smile.
"Maybe if you had some magical dust that made the pain go away then that would help." I say sarcastically. He looked at me smiling.
"Well, I may not have that but I have the next best thing."
"And what would that be?"
"If you do exactly what I tell you to do, then the pain should be numb. Okay?" I nod.
"I need you to kiss me." I look at him annoyed.
"Wow... I thought you changed..."
"There you are. Jumping to conclusions again!" He rolled his eyes. "I have powers remember! Although most people know me for my distraction and havoc, I'm quite the nice guy."
"And what does kissing have to do with it?"
"It's my only way of healing pain. I would do it with my hands but that's for cuts and infections. By the lips is the only other way." As if on cue, a pounding strike of pain hit my forehead.
"Ahak...."
"Claire... Trust me. As soon was you kiss me, the pain will go away for half to a full hour." I felt my cheeks start to heat up. Is he seriously going to make me do this.
"But, the last time I kissed you, you harassed me. Nothing numbed. No pain went away."
"That's because I was drunk. I wasn't concentrating. And I'm really sorry about everything that happened that night. I wasn't fully there." I placed a hand on his cheek.
"It's alright I suppose. I forgive you." A small thankful smile played across his lips. After a few seconds it faded.
"Oh and... Once you kiss me, you'll fall asleep for about 10 minutes. Either that or from your medical record, you'll pass out for a while." I shrug.
"Fine?"
"What I'm saying is, it might be better if we do this on a bed. Then I don't have to carry you." I was somehow offended by this. Who says that?
"I'm sorry? I'm heavy am I?" A shocked expression was plastered on his face.
"No, no! I didn't mean it like that!!" An embarrassed blush spread across his cheeks. "I just thought it would make you more comfortable, that's all."
Now it was my turn to blush. As much as I wanted to say no and make him kiss me here and get over it, I sorta had no choice. He would take me to the bed anyway.
"Fine." I finally choked out. "Let's get this over and done with. " I stood up slowly and walked over to the bed, which felt surprisingly different since last time I was on it. Of course I didn't get the change to notice because I was being harassed at the moment.
I sat down on the bed and patted a spot next to me to tell Herobrine to sit next to me. Reluctantly he did so. His hand raised up to caress my cheek.
"Good night." He said softly, slowly moving in.
I'm shaking. How do I react? Do I kiss back? Don't I kiss back? Is he tricking me? Is he going to kill me. With all these questions in my head, I didn't notice that his lips were just a couple of millimetres away.
I looked up to his eyes which were surprisingly a little nervous. Aww, the poor thing was scared of kissing me? He's eyes soon softened and his face started to edge closer, this time landing his lips perfectly onto mine. I felt a cold rush flow from my throat to my head, instantly taking the pain away.
He stayed for a couple of seconds, his lips plastered onto mine. No movement came from his body, nor his lips. He finally pulled back slowly. His hand was drawn back with him.
"Sorry, I was..." He cleared his throat. "Taking in the moment." I laughed slightly.
"Taking in the mo-" I suddenly felt really tired, and my head was starting to hurt again. What the hell?
"Claire?"
"I thought you said the pain- AH!" I fell back onto the sheets, about to fall asleep but also in terrible pain. It's worse than before! "What did you do to me?!" He wondered back in shock.
"I-I didn't mean to... It should of worked." He looked down at the floor. "This shouldn't be happening. Even if this is happening because of the headgear, my powers should effect you."
"What are you saying?!" He started to walk towards me, draping his hands over my shoulders and keeping me in place.
"Ever since you came into this game, there is something about you that no one can understand. You have stopped the game in its place." He pulled me back so that he would look into my terror and pain filled eyes. "Claire... You have some kind of... Of energy or power about you. Nothing in the game can hurt you.... So..."
My eyes started to swelt up with pain. His explanations became a distance murmur. Am I dying?
I started to fall back, my eyes starting to close on me. Herobrine must of noticed my absence and dived after me.
"Claire! Stay with me!" I could only make out a couple of words coming from his mouth. I made out as much as I could. Most of it about staying awake and not leaving him. Bits and pieces I couldn't figure out but I follow his orders, trying to keep myself awake.
But I can't. This is only just the beginning. The only way I'm allowed out of the head gear is by being released from the outside. Even then it is dangerous to do so and there would be no saying in which I would survive the manual drive out. And if I was to be disconnected from the game by myself or Herobrine in this little time period that I have left, the same fate would await me. The only hope I have is someone coming to my body in real life and beating the hell out of me before I wake up from the pain from the outside world. But that would be even more painful than the situation I am in now.
I can't fall asleep. I shouldn't. I should stay awake if I value my life. One tiny thought slipping my mind about the headgear could risk my life for good.
"Keep... Me... Awake..." I choke out. I have no time to tell him details. He just looks at me, trying to know what to do. So he just stands there looking at me. He has to keep me awake. KEEP ME AWAKE!!! ITS THE ONLY WAY!!! I can't talk.... Just please try to figure it out.... Please....
Please.
My time will shorten if I sleep....
Never rest your eyes for sleep,
You must always stay awake.
For if your eyes drift aloft
You'll only have one more day.
Tik tok goes the clock
Your time is running low.
Tik tok goes the clock
Soon it's time to end the show.
