Chapter 17: The Job

Team Natsu made their way down the road to the location where the job request was at. They decided to take a carriage and Natsu and Gajeel were sitting on their own seat and on the brink of being sick. Lucy smiled and looked at the two dragon slayers. Gajeel looked up at Natsu with a disgusted face,

"This is Salamander's weakness, not mine!" he turned away and put his hand to his mouth. Wendy laughed and cast a spell on herself,

"Wendy? What did you just do?" Wendy looked over to Erza and Lucy with an innocent face,

"Umm...I used my troia spell..." Lucy's eyes widened in surprise and she burst out laughing.

"I didn't know that you had a problem with motion sickness Wendy." Lucy bent over and put her hand to her stomach from laughing too hard. Wendy looked away and blushed slightly.

"I've just started having a problem with motion sickness...I don't know what happened but now I get just as sick as Natsu and Gajeel." Lucy stopped laughing and put her hand on Wendy's small shoulder,

"It's ok Wendy. That just means that you are a full fledged dragon slayer now." Wendy looked up at Lucy with a smile and laughed,

"Yeah, I guess so." Suddenly, there was a massive explosion and everyone on the train went flying. Natsu opened his eyes groggily and tried sitting up. But he had to lay back down because there was something pinning his arm to the floor of the train. He gritted his teeth and moved the debris. He looked down to his arm and grimaced, it was in really bad shape. Natsu slowly sat up and looked around the train. There was debris everywhere and he could see suitcases littered everywhere,

"Lucy! Where are you guys?!" Natsu groaned and got up holding his arm and started looking for someone that he knew. He scanned but couldn't see anything. But after another look over, he saw red, blonde, black, and blue buried in the debris. He ran over to the pile of train pieces and started digging with his left arm. He pulled away a large piece of metal and saw Erza, Lucy, Gray, and Levy laying on the ground.

"Are you ok guys?!" Erza coughed and opened her eyes. She looked at Natsu and smiled slightly,

"Yeah. We're fine Natsu." She slowly sat up and woke up the rest of the mages that were lying unconscious near her. Gray groaned and sat up,

"What happened? Who did that?" Natsu shrugged then cringed in pain from his wounded arm. He grabbed it to try to stop the bleeding and try to hide it from everyone else. But it didn't work,

"Natsu? Are you ok?" Natsu looked at Levy and grinned,

"Yeah I'm good." Gray frowned and looked at Natsu with disbelief,

"You're not fine. Your arm is broke and you're bleeding pretty bad." Natsu scowled at Gray and shook his head,

"It's not that bad Gray. It's just a scratch." Erza frowned and walked up to Natsu,

"Then you won't mind me looking at it, right?" Natsu slightly flinched and tried to cover it up but everyone saw it. Erza walked up to him and grabbed his right arm. Natsu cringed and his face was contorted with pain from Erza's grip. She pulled Natsu's hand off his arm and looked at the damage. Right when Natsu's hand was off his arm, the wound started bleeding heavily. While Erza was inspecting the wound, Natsu started getting light headed. He shook his head to keep himself awake. Levy noticed and frowned on worry,

"Erza, I think Gray was right. I think his arm is broken." Levy tried getting Erza to let go of Natsu's arm but she just nodded and kept looking,

"Probably but I'm just going to see if there are any more problems." Levy looked at Natsu in panic. He shook his head, then his legs collapsed under him and he passed out. Erza dropped his arm in shock and Natsu fell to the ground. Lucy ran up to Natsu and checked his vitals. She looked up to everyone else in panic,

"He's lost way too much blood. If we don't do something he will die." She looked back to Natsu with a sad face, "Why do you always have to act so tough Natsu...?" Gray bent down and froze the area Natsu was bleeding. The blood flow stopped immediately and Gray sighed,

"Ok. He's more stable now. We need o find Wendy and see if she can heal this idiot." Lucy nodded and they all started looking for Wendy and the rest of their missing comrades. After a little while of looking, Levy going Gajeel, Lily, Wendy, Carla, and Happy. Erza quickly told Wendy of Natsu's condition and she quickly ran over to heal Natsu. She sat down by Natsu and saw that the ice Gray put on his wound had melted. Wendy quickly put her hands over Natsu and started healing him. After a little while, Natsu started getting some color back to his face and Wendy stopped healing him,

"He's fine now. I healed him and was able to fix him right up." Lucy sighed in relief and Kaye's down, exhausted.

"Can we please get some sleep now? We've been up the whole train ride and I need some sleep." Erza laughed at Lucy and laid down with her,

"Yeah. Let's get some sleep everybody."
Everyone laid down heavily and fell asleep almost instantly. Happy fell asleep near Natsu and Lucy smiled at the two friends. They were such good friends,

"I hope that nothing bad will happen with this job. But I wonder who put the explosives on the train..." Lucy rolled onto her side and watched Natsu. He looked like he felt better and Lucy felt better that he was ok. "It seems that Natsu is always caught up in all the problems. Always getting hurt and protecting his friends." Lucy smiled and closed her eyes. Erza looked at everyone sleeping on the destroyed train.

"Why do you always have to act like nothing's wrong with you Natsu? We're your friends, we're willing to help you..." Erza's eyes slowly closed and she fell asleep next to her beloved friends.
