Chapter 21: Wendy Marvell

Wendy watched as the men brought Natsu to a large gray building. She looked after them with tears in her eyes, 

"I'm sorry I ran Natsu." She wiped her tears away and continued watching the men. They walked over to the right side of the building and Wendy followed after them. She ran to the wall of the building and saw a window, she looked inside and saw Erza, Lucy, Happy, and Natsu was just being thrown in. Wendy smiled, happy that he was ok for the moment. The men threw Natsu in the cell and Erza got up and started yelling at them. For some reason, Wendy couldn't hear what was being said inside, Lucy had crawled over to Natsu and was holding his head in her lap. She looked over and realized that before the men threw Natsu in the cell, they took Gray out and they were taking him somewhere different. Wendy looked at her friends desperately, she smacked on the window, 

"Guys!" Erza perked up and looked at the window Wendy was looking through. She smiled and walked over to the window, 

"Wendy, I'm so glad you're ok!" Wendy smiled and reached in the window, she grabbed Erza's shoulder and looked at her seriously, 

"Where are those men taking Gray?" Erza's eyes widened slightly, 

"They're trying to get some information out of us...they want to know how to kill dragon slayers." Wendy's eyes widened in horror and she pulled away from Erza slightly, 

"Why?" Erza shook her head and looked at Wendy with a sad expression, 

"I don't know. And we didn't even know that dragon slayers had to be killed a certain way. But they're torturing us, trying to get the information out." Wendy smiled slightly at Erza and pulled her hand all the way out of the window, 

"Well, you don't know what it is so it's ok right? I'll find a way to save all of you, I promise." Wendy looked over to Lucy who was still sitting with Natsu on the ground. She smiled sadly and walked away back into the forest. She waited until the men came back out. 

"Is our shift over already?" One of the men laughed, 

"Yeah. The next shift starts in about 30 minutes."

"Why do you think there is such a long time until the second shift?" The man shrugged, 

"Because the boss doesn't want to kill the prisoners from their torture." The men nodded like it was normal to talk about people suffering. Wendy balled her fists and took a deep breath, 

"It's ok...I'm going to get them out of there soon. They're going to be ok." She walked out of the forest and towards the building, she looked around and walked in a door where she saw the men take Natsu and the others. She walked in and turned corners until she found the cell where Lucy, Erza, and Happy were. Wendy looked inside the cell and saw Lucy sitting down crying, Erza in the corner, and Happy sitting in Lucy's lap. But Natsu wasn't there. She looked all over the cell but didn't see Natsu anywhere, she walked in front of the cell and Erza saw her. 

"Wendy! You need to go get Natsu and Gray. The people here took them away and we haven't seen them." Wendy ran down the hallway and saw a hallway with doors on both sides. 

"Where are you two...?" She opened the doors one by one but there was nothing in the rooms, there weren't even any people. She ran down to the end of the hallway and opened the door at the end of the hall. She saw Gray and Natsu laying on the ground, both unconscious and covered in blood. Wendy ran over to them and looked at them, she went over to Natsu and looked at him. He was in bad shape, there were wounds all over his body and it looked like he was seriously hurt. Gray was in the same condition, 

"How could this have happened in the short time I was gone...?" Wendy put her head to his chest and heard a soft thump, thump, thump. She sighed and checked Gray too. They were alive but hurt really bad, Wendy looked around and saw a circle of keys. She grabbed them and ran back down the hall to where Lucy, Erza, and Happy where. Wendy walked up to the cell and smiled as she unlocked the cage and got rid of the magic sealing chains. Lucy rubbed her wrists and smiled at Wendy, 

"Thanks Wendy. Where are Natsu and Gray?" Wendy pointed down the hall and smiled, 

"They're pretty beat up but I can heal them, don't worry." Lucy smiled and started walking down the hall. Erza looked to Wendy and grabbed her arm before she could walk away, 

"Are they really ok Wendy?" Wendy smiled and nodded her head, 

"Yeah. I just need to go heal them." Erza smiled and nodded. She let go of Wendy's arm and walked after Lucy who had just got in the room where Natsu and Gray were. Wendy smiled at Lucy and walked over to Gray and started healing his wounds. The wounds healed up pretty fast and Wendy was able to go to Natsu and heal him right after. She walked over to Natsu and cast her healing spell. But after a few seconds, Natsu shot up and clutched his stomach in pain, 

"Natsu!" Natsu looked over to Lucy with a smile on his face, 

"Hey Luce. Are you ok?" Lucy smiled at Natsu with tears in her eyes, 

"Yeah, I'm fine." Wendy smiled and started taking bandages out of her bag, 

"Well, now that you're awake, I can bandage you up instead of healing you." Wendy smiled and gestured for Natsu to giver her his wounded arm. Natsu grinned and held his arm out as Wendy bandaged it up. When Wendy was done, Natsu stood up and slung one of Gray's arms around his shoulders. He grinned and looked back to his friends, 

"Let's get out of here. We need to finish the job that we took." Erza smiled and nodded her head, 

"Natsu's right. We need to finish the job that we took. We don't want to give Fairy Tail a bad name. And on the way we can look for Gajeel, Levy, and Lily." Lucy smiled and nodded, 

"Yeah. Let's go find Levy then finish our job!"

"Aye sir!" Happy unfurled his wings and flew ahead in excitement.
