Trixie stood facing the ominous looking metal gates.  They rattled slightly in the harsh Autumn night breeze.  Heart thumping, Trixie attempted to clamber over the slippery poles.  She sank back down, unable to make it.   At that moment, Trixie spotted a large pit, situated just underneath the metal bars.  She was just small enough to squirm underneath.  Trixie stood, and turned to face the shadowy forest that stood before her, the forest that nobody had been into for over 100 years.  A harsh shriek came from somewhere in the gloom.  Shivers ran down Trixie's spine.  One step forward.  Then another.  Soon Trixie could no longer see the gleaming gateway.  She felt tired, so tired...

And before Trixie knew it, she had collapsed, fast asleep, on the damp earth.
