I answered the phone slowly, listening carefully. Surely enough it was her.
"Hello? Odell?"
I hung up and turned around to see Odell standing behind me.
"I thought she was dead Odell!" I yelled.
Actually I don't know how to feel about this..
"Valerie calm down," Odell said stepping closer to me. "I thought the same thing.."
So many thoughts ran through my head at this moment. How long did HE know about this? Why is she still contacting him? Is that child alive?
"Odell." I started off shaking my head slowly. "The child is it..?"
He looked down instantly as if he knew what I was gonna say.
"He's alive too.." Slowly taking his phone from my hands he tapped on a few things before showing me a picture. "His name is Kaiden."

I'm not gonna lie, he's an adorable little boy. Nearly a replica of Elijiah. There's no thought in my mind saying this isn't his child.
"Cool." I said walking away.
"Wait," Odell said following me quickly. "You're not mad?"
Turning around I chuckled.
"I don't know how to feel about anything anymore. I just.. I don't care Odell. I don't mind you calling to see Dom or whatever but, can you leave me alone?"
Odell frowned tilting his head to the side.
"Valerie-"
"No, I've realized all the pain that I've had to deal with all revolved around you. And I'm tired.." I paused as my voice started to crack. "I'm tired of feeling hurt and broken or unwanted. So if you don't mind could you stay away from me while I try to regain my relationship with my son?"
Sighing Odell nodded.
"I'm sorry Valerie.."
