Sighing, I through the last files I was working on onto the table next to me. My office door opened revealing my boss. Also Keith's dad...

"Hello Valerie." He said sitting in the chair across from my desk.

"Hi." I muttered sipping my water.

"So," He started intertwining his fingers. "When will I be receiving grandchildren?"

Choking on the water I held my throat.

"Excuse me?" I chocked out.

Mr.Russell laughing straightening out his tie.

"Ya know? When will I get a grandson or granddaughter?"

I find it funny how Keith's been pestering me about the exact same thing and now his dad is hitting me with this shit..

"You could have a grandson if your son proposed-"

"Uh uh, I want a brand new grandchild." He said smiling up at the ceiling.

"Well it's not happening.." I chuckled picking up my next paper to work on.

"Oh it will." He said looking at me.

I raised an eyebrow.

"Whatchu' talking about Mr.Russell?"

Then he looked at me with the straightest face ever.

"You will give me a grandchild or I'll fire you," He smiled. "And don't say I can't do that, I can. Keep in mind I AM the boss."

I need this job and to lose it over something this stupid? It's not worth it..

"H-How am I supposed to do that?" I stuttered out.

He stood fixing his suit.

"I've seen how you dress on a daily basis. You can do it."

Opening my mouth to say something he left the room.

I've never been more disrespected in my life.

Looking over to my cell phone it was vibrating, nearly about to fall off the table.

Picking it up I answered the call.

"Hello?" I sighed out.

"You need to get here."

I looked at the phone before chuckling.

"Who you tryna scare with ya lil' deep man voice Keith?"

"NOW VALERIE."

With that he hung up.

What is with these people today?! Uh uh. He think he off the hook. Thinking he gon' hang the phone up in my ear.. This bitch..

Odell

Standing in Valerie's house with Destiny to my side I looked around.

The house is full of pictures of her and Keith. It's disgusting.. I really don't know why she settled for the stupid shrimp-

"Odell!"

I looked over to see Keith starring at me with his lil' baby face turning red.

"What nigga?" I laughed covering Destiny's ears.

"Why are you in my house? Aren't you on house arrest? Shouldn't you be in New York?" He asked.

I shook my head.

"Actually a restraining order, but, not against ya'll so it'll all good." I said patting his back.

"She doesn't wanna see you." He spat through gritted teeth.

I chuckled.

"You'd be surprised how many times she probably mumbles my name in her sleep," I whispered. "Does she? Does she do that?"

Before he could say anything the front door opened revealing the person I've been waiting for.

"Vallie, baby. I was looking for you!" I smiled.

She held a straight face starring at me.

"Why are you here?" She asked.

"Is it okay if I lay down? I'm tired." Destiny asked yawning.

Valerie smiled nodded talking her to one of the rooms. Keith walked away shaking his head.

Soon Valerie came back with her arms crossed over her chest.

Smiling I blew her a kiss. She turned around before looking looking at me.

"Why are you here?"

I stepped closer to her.

"I want to say I'm sorry. And this time I mean it." I sighed.

She stepped back shaking her up.

"How do I know you're serious?"

I laughed looking at her in the eyes.

"I came all the way here from New York to tell you this in person." I stepped closer.

She stepped back.

"N-no.. you could have came here for Destiny to visit-"

And before she could say anything else I kissed her. Because honestly I've missed her then more anything these past few years and I need her.
