Now that I'm thinking about it... Maybe I was too harsh on her. Was I?
Standing up from the couch I walked to her room to see her sitting on the bed sniffling.
"Valerie.." I quietly said walking over to her.
"No!" She flinched as I tried to comfort her. "Don't sit here and act like you didn't just come for me the way you did. No apologies, no 'Oh I'm just kidding!' I'm not playing anymore Odell!"
Sighing I sat down on the bed.
"Valerie, I was wrong for talking to you the way I did. It was mean and rude. Those words should've have came out of my mouth-"
"But they did." She said looking hurt. "I've dealt with your bullshit so long, I just want it to stop. Maybe we're NOT meant to be. Just tell me where I stand."

At this moment I was hoping to hear what I wanted him to say. But, after all those years I knew what he would say. And I wasn't surprised..
"I want to be with my wife. And I hope you can excep-"
"I do." I said standing up. "I hope that we can eventually woke together and co-parent, but, right now.." She sniffled. "I'm alittle emotionally shook up, and I want to go home."
"Valerie," I called after her. "I'm sorry."
"Okay Odell."
