Going back to Miami

Mayas POV

I just put the kids down for a nap. I leave in a hour to go back to Miami.

I sit on the couch and once again everyone is here.

" Im gonna go. I don't want to be late. Take care of my kids please Topanga " I say.

"your not going!" Josh says.

"Yes I am!" I yell.

" Why! Your going to end up leaving our kids without a mom!" he yells back.

" Go and worry about your fiancée. Stop worrying about me!" I yell back.

" Im coming with you Maya!" Riley says.

" No your not" Josh, Lucas, Topanga, Shawn, Corey, and I yell.

" Shes my best friend! Im going and you have no say. Im an adult and I make my own choices" she says and gets her bag.

" You and I" I say.

" You and I" she says.

"im coming too!" Josh and Lucas say.

" You can come, but Josh you need to stay. " I say.

" Im three years older then you Maya, im your kids father, your ex fiancee, your first time, and your first boyfriend. Im coming and you have no say" he says.

" Damn! What is it with you Matthews! " I say.

" Can I go mommy?" Auggie asks.
" no Auggie" Topanga replies.

Ashley, then comes in with Jessica.

" Hi baby girl, come on lets go" I say and take her. I put her in her car seat and buckle her in.

We, leave and head to the airport.

We, sit in the airport and wait.

" Maya you okay?" Josh asks.

" Jessica is your daughter Josh. You got me pregnant the same month you proposed to your fiancée. " I say.

" And your just now telling me this?" he says.

"and I just found out you proposed when we got together. " I say.

" I had been engaged a week before you came back with the kids. I honestly don't even know if Kelly and I are going to stay together. I know shes cheating on me and I can't do that again" he says.

" If I didn't cheat.... Do you think we would already be married?" I ask.

"No... Because I was cheating on you with Kelly." he says and he locks his eyes on my eyes.

"The whole time you said for me to stop and you were doing the same. Why do we keep cheating?" I ask.

" I think we are afraid of commitment and we are afraid to love. Are we still playing the long game?" he asks.

" I am if you are" I reply.

" Good because, I could never loose you" he says.

I go to say something but, our flight is called. I grabbed my two carry ons and Jessica's car seat. We, then go through the stuff and we finally board the plane.

I take my seat. Im in the middle and Josh has the window seat. a women, around her late thirties, early forties sits next to me.

We, then take off about twenty minutes later. Once, they give us the clear to go back on our devices, I turn mine on.

" You okay?" Josh asks.

"No, Im terrified" I reply.

" He wont do anything as long as im around." He says.

My phone then goes off and its Shawn's phone.

" Hello?" I say.

" Momma?" I hear Maci's sweet little voice say.

" Yeah Baby girl?" I ask and look at Josh.

" Please dont go. We need you momma. " she says.

"sweetie, I will be back I promise and I never break my promises to you. I love you my sweet little girl. Tell your brother and sisist that I love them. See you soon baby" I say and she hangs up.

" What did she say?" Josh asks.

" She knows whats going on Josh. She kept saying momma. I feel bad, Im their mother and Im going to Miami to go up against him. Whatever happens, you as their father needs to be there for them. " I say and he pulls me closer to him and I rest my head on his shoulder.

" You guys are such a sweet couple. How old are your kids?" The older lady asks.

" 3, 1, 1, and four months " I reply. As if on cue Jessie starts crying. I look behind us and Riley hands me Jessica. I kiss her and then I set her in my lap.

" Your brave for your age, how old are you guys?" she asks.

" nineteen and twenty two" I reply.

" Wow, and he stayed, your very lucky" she says.

" Oh, we aren't together any-" I start saying but Josh cuts me off.

" We, did it though, we got married last October " Josh says and puts my ring on my ring finger when she was looking at Jessie.

Im shocked, why did he keep it after all this time?

" Oh thats a beautiful ring! Do you guys want more kids?" she asks.

" Yes" he says.

"No" I reply and we look at each other

" I mean yeah " I reply.

I then hand Jessica to Josh and I guess I fall asleep.
