"The man who played fire."
"I'll be back at a moment." He stood beside her wearing an expensive three pieced suit which made him look more intimidating to everyone else in the room. He came towards the important guests of the night, greeting them in a polite manner.
There we're tiny yet visible gray streaks from his hair and seemed to be enjoying his company, his hand was clutched in his wife's waist, claiming her as if any men would dare get to her tonight. The older man looked to be impressed by his words as she eyed him among the crowd. Her hand clutching an exquisite glass of champagne. His hearty laugh echoed in her ears yet it didn't reach his eyes.
A strikingly beautiful woman came down the stairs, clad in a white gown that clung to her body. Diamonds hung her pale white neck and the clip of her locks . Her hair was of a golden shade and her eyes were as green as an emerald. Most people had given her looks of adoration as she sashayed her way towards them.
A tinge of insecurity built inside her as she watched them from afar, taking a cold sip as she did so.
The woman greeted the older man and his wife, a kiss on their cheeks yet this time, the man was truly happy. "Mr. Dragneel, it's been a while." The investor gave out a small smile as his family stood beside him. "This is my lovely wife, Amelia and my beautiful daughter, Luciana." His eyes raked over her face as she noticed a small blush creeped down her face. "Natsu Dragneel."
"Luciana Heartlock." Both shook hands and exchanged similar glances. "Aren't they look good together?" Amelia gushed at the two while nudging her husband in approval. "Of course they are, my daughter is indeed born in luxury and would make a good wife in the future." Her cheeks tinted red at her parent's teasings. "Mom! Dad! You're embarrassing me!" Natsu chuckled but it didn't seem to reach his eyes. "Pardon for greetings but I must go." His legs took long strides, searching through the crowd for a particular fiery blonde woman.
The lights had gave a soft glow through her wavy manes as she took a sip from her drink. She felt her heart sank once she remembered the beautiful emerald eyed girl. Sadly, her eyes came from his father's deep brown orbs instead of her mother's aquamarine. She had distinctly described them we're colored as blue as the sea.

"W-what?" She managed to slowly loosen his tight hold on her. "Don't play games with me, Lucy. Cause you won't deceive me."
Just who the heck he is?! She barely knew him and yet why was her chest thumping loudly. Goodness! She felt so bare and vulnerable under his watch.
She gulped nervously taking in his towering frame. "Please, let me go. You're hurting me." She said cooly, trying to remember her father's advice. He slowly sighed before releasing his hands off of her. "I- I apologize. I was overreacting. " She watched as his jaw moved, the way his hands readjusted his tie and how his hair looked a bit stressed. "Shall we start?"
Both had seemed to agree to forget that his rash behavior had seemed to happen but only her skin felt cold as his eyes roamed over to her dress, his lips went to a straight line.
His gaze yet remained doubtful as the two went on a stare down, lost in a moment of silence with clanking plates and utensils in the background. The blonde coughed, cutting off the pregnant pause.
"In behalf of Mr. Jude Heartfilia, I am here to give a proposition to you. It might be a benefit for the both of us." His eyes never left mine, trying to read the expression on my face. It was very so unprofessional of him, suddenly accusing me of being his ex of some sort. "Jude Heartfilia would like you have you to work for us in making a project."
His back reclined against the rattan - made chair, sighing. "Why should I work for you? The Heartlock Hotels and Casino had made a very tempting offer I couldn't refuse."
Her torso leaned a bit more, thinking of how her father needed the contract with him. "Our firm could give you more than what the Heartlocks has to give. We had connections with successful companies that could expand your expertise in your field." He scoffed in response. "Miss Heartfilia, do you honestly think that increasing my credentials and wealth is what I'm after?"
I paused for a moment. "Tell me Mr. Dragneel, what do you want? The cool ambiance was long ignored but merely the intensity he gave away with the expression in his face."What do you think I lack of, Miss Heartfilia?"
"That's why I'm asking Mr. Dragneel for you to work in our company. What is it that you want?"
His eyes narrowed. "If I tell you, would you accept the deal?" I slowly sighed. "It depends on what I can do, Mr. Dragneel."
"Just who exactly are you, Mr.Dragneel? Just what is it that you're hiding from me?" His eyes we're so full of ambition. I couldn't even stand being with him in the same place. There was just something about him that was just suffocating me. It was dangerous. It was toxic. My head felt like it was cracked open whenever I think about him.
A blur of cherry colored background echoed in my mind. There we're lights, a dark place, a red cloth and a cherry haired man standing. Just what does it mean?
"You." His voice never faltered in the end, fully decided. "Miss Heartfilia. "
