Sonic's POV

         I better not mess this up!

        Today is the day. The day I never thought would come.

        A date with Y/N the A/T.

        I don't know why I was so nervous when I gave her the note. I guess I was overreacting? I have no clue. Actually, maybe it was because...no. I don't want to think about that yet.

        Well, I guess I was a bit run down, so I slept a little longer than usual. Once I woke up, I decided to go downstairs. I heard the TV going, so I figured at least one person was up. Once I was down, I looked up (my head had been down while I was walking)...and I saw her. I froze. She came walking up to me, watching me the whole time.

        I've gotta say, her eyes are so beautiful.

        Anyways, she came up to me with a smile on her face. She looked me straight in the eye, and she said exactly what I had wanted to hear: yes.

        I don't think I could have smiled more than I did.

        I didn't know what to do! I wanted to freak out, but not in front of Y/N. So, I put on a calm and collected attitude, just until I was back up the stairs and in my room. I closed the door as calmly as possible, just to make sure I didn't raise any alarms downstairs...and I freaked out.

        "YES!" I shouted. I shouted over and over again. I couldn't contain all of my happiness, so I decided to take a quick run around the room. Once I did that, I ran out of the room, down the stairs...and stumbled on the last step. I looked around, hoping Shadow, B/F/N, and especially Y/N didn't see that. They did. I decided to play the cool card again, so I walked off to the kitchen to get something to eat.

        Darn it, Y/N must think I'm crazy.

        That was yesterday.

        I have so much planned for her!  I said I had to step out for a bit, and I went around to make sure everything was ready. Especially my surprise. I hope she likes it!

        I was walking to her house to pick her up, and I was a bit distracted by my thoughts. The time has finally come.

        'I love you, Y/N. I promise to make this day as beautiful and amazing as you are.'

Y/N's POV

        Oh geez, what am I going to wear?!

        Today is the day. The day I never thought would come.

        A date with Sonic the Hedgehog.

        When I woke up yesterday morning, I jumped out of bed and ran downstairs. B/F/N was up already, and so was Shadow. Sonic was nowhere to be seen. I figured he was sleeping, so I waited. About 30 minutes later he finally came downstairs with a yawn.

        Man, he looks cute when he yawns.

        Anyways, he came downstairs, and I looked at him. When he saw me, he froze. I walked up to him and gave him my answer.

        Man, he looks cute when he smiles, too!

        He was acting pretty calm, acting being the key word. I could clearly see he was nervous. Once I gave my answer, he smiled and walked back up stairs, went to his room (I guess. I didn't follow him), closed the door, started, uh... I don't know what he started doing (it sounded like ecstatic yelling and screaming followed by a barrage of footsteps. He must have been running around), and then ran out of the room and down the stairs, stumbling on the last step. He pricked his ears and looked around, and then he just walked off like nothing happened.

        Crazy hedgehog.

        Well, as I said before, that was yesterday.

        I was trying to pick out the perfect outfit. Although, that is pretty hard when your date has so much planned.
       
        Sonic has a whole plan for today. However, he won't tell me what is planned. He just said that we were going to a variety of different places. So... how am I supposed to dress for that?

        I decided to go with a ruffly F/C top, a A/C skirt, and some cute F/C flats. B/F/N/ helped to style my hair. I put on some lip gloss (A/N- and anything else you want to put on. I'm not very good with outfits. :/), and once I finished, the doorbell rang. Sonic had gone out somewhere earlier (he refused to say where), and he said he would pick me up when it was time to go. We agreed to meet up at 1:00. Now, yes, I understand that seems a bit early for a date, but Sonic assured me that this would allow us enough time to enjoy what he had planned out. I walked over and opened the door. Sonic was standing there, ready to go. We made eye contact. His emerald eyes shimmered with admiration.

        "Wow," he finally said. "Y-you look beautiful!" I blushed when he said this.

        I could have sworn I saw just a bit of pink on his muzzle, too.

        B/F/N walked up to us.

        "Have fun!" she said to us. I smiled at her...and she took hold of Sonic's shoulder. She looked him straight in the eye.

        "Don't break her heart, or that will be the last thing you do."

        On that note, she pushed us out the door, causing me to fall onto Sonic, making me blush again. We stood there for about 5 seconds, wondering what had just happened. Finally, once we were done contemplating, I spoke.

        "Well, I'm ready if you are!" I looked over at him. I saw him smile.

        "Great! Then let's get going!" Suddenly, he picked me up bridal style, causing me to blush again (not that I had stopped blushing before).

        "Woah, wait! W-what are you doing?"

        "What do you mean? We have to be able to get to where we're going! Might as well take the most direct route! Hang on tight!" With that, I grabbed onto him, and he took off at sonic speed.
