I walked into the locker room and there was no sight of Ella, just the girls I hated. There was a small group of us that we're kind of the underdogs of the class. Me and Ella didn't bother last year in PE and those girls looked down at us because they were all friends and me, Ella and the other girls weren't. They were just like the teachers, thought they were amazing when really they weren't. I could beat all of those girls in a race if I wanted to but I would get penalised by the teachers so there was no point trying.

Ella finally arrived and we started to get changed into our shorts, crop tops and trainers. We headed into the sports hall and sat down and then entered Miss. Wiggins the bitchiest sports teacher of them all.

"As some of you may know, I'm moving schools" she stated and I never felt so happy in my life.

"But there will have to be a replacement of myself."

"Your new teacher is Mr.Minter"

Out he came the newbie, Mr. Minter. He was a tall, lean guy. Mousey coloured hair that was in a sort of quiff, bright blue eyes, a strong jaw and cheekbones. He was quite a good looking guy, but there was something about him I didn't like. Or maybe something I did like.

"Hey guys, I'm your new PE teacher" he said introducing himself with his deep voice.

"Well, I'm gonna hand you guys over to Mr. Minter now, keep your heads down and Ellis" she said and I looked at her half bothered "Put some effort in" she said quite strict and everyone laughed causing me to fall in embarrassment.

My eyes glanced towards him, Mr. Minter. He wasn't laughing like everyone else, his eyes were wide open and he just looked me up and down like I was going to be tough work, I didn't like this guy already.

Miss. Wiggins took him aside and everyone started talking again.

"Omg, he's so fit. I'm totally gonna get with him" Mia said, the main girl of the group.

I looked at Ella and rolled my eyes "Of course she's gonna get with him, she has with every other teacher" I said a bit too loud.

"What was that Ellis?" Mia said over hearing me.

"You heard" I said straight forward.

"Listen, just because you're below average and no guy wants you there's no need to be rude b" she said bitchily and her girls laughed with her.

"Alright guys, let's go out onto the field for a game of baseball?" He suggested and everyone agreed.

"Slag" I said whilst getting up.

We headed over onto the field with the baseball gear. I walked along with Ella then noticed Mia walking over to Mr.Minter already trying to put her charm on.

"Look at her, how pathetic" I said to Eloise whilst shaking my head.

"Why? You jealous?" She replied and she had a point.

"No, of course not"

"Well then, don't worry about it, if he's a smart guy he'll know she's a bumlick. Just let Mia be Mia, the slag she is and the slag she always will be."

"Yeah, you speak so much truth" I said with a smile.

"Yeah that's why I'm your best friend, bud" she said sarcastically.

"Shut up" I said laughing and gently punched her shoulder.

My team were batting and of course I was with the underdogs. We were losing really bad and I just ended up giving up hope.

"Ellis, it's your turn" one of them said, and I rolled my eyes.

I stood up and dragged the bat and noticed that Mr. Minter was watching me carefully, what was it with this guy?

Mia was bowling and it reminded me of earlier when she called me below average.

I stood on the spot, helmet on and bat at the ready. Mia bowled the ball and I swing as hard as I could. All you could hear was a huge echo from the bat connecting with the ball. I threw the bat down and started running, the ball was still in the air travelling towards the school, I continued running hearing the sound of my teammates shouting my name. I ran to the last stump and made a home run.

I started smirking to myself "Hey Mia? Below average yeah?" I said and watched her face drop and her arms fold.

"Ellis! That was amazing!" Eloise said as I put the bat down.

"Cheers" I said as I winked at her.

"Right guys time to go in" Mr. Minter said and everyone followed in.

I walked in on my own seeing as Ella was talking to somebody else. I felt somebody walk next to me, I turned my head to see it was Mr. Minter.

"You're a good hit, what was Miss. Wiggins on about?"

"She's right, I'm bad at sports to be fair"

"Well from what I've seen you're not to shabby. I mean-"

"Listen, sir? I'm not being funny, but please don't try and act like I'm actually good Okay? Thanks" I said then walked off.

I walked into the changing rooms and changed into my uniform, ready for the rest of the day. I walked out of the changing rooms seeing as it was too hot in there and waited for Eloise only to bump into Mr. Minter.

"Ellis? Will you come with me please?" He said and I followed him into the PE office.

I walked to the office and he shut the door behind us.

"Ellis, I didn't like your attitude earlier so I am giving you an hour detention after school with me"

"What?!" I said astonished.

"I did nothing wrong! You can't give me a detention on the first day of school?!" I said starting to panic.

"You should think about your actions beforehand then" he said rudely.

"Great!" I said and stormed out of his office.

This guys has only been here for an hour and he was already giving me grief. What more could I ask for?
