I turned up to the detention room to find nobody there. I stood by the window and watched as everybody left the school. I heard the door open behind me and that's when it hit me.

"Miss. Garcia" he said.

"What was the real reason you gave me an hours detention"

He fell silent as I waited for an answer.

"You're a smart girl" he said in soft tone.

"Well?" I said turning around to face him.

"I just wanted to talk to you to be honest"

"Just wanted to talk to me? Are you being serious?"

"I wanted to talk to you about PE" he said causing me to fall silent.

"You're an amazing girl, I've seen your best records and to be honest I'm amazed." He said and I blushed slightly.

"Yeah so?"

"Yeah soo... I want to help you get them back" he said placing his books on the desk.

"I haven't lost them, I just can't be bothered to put the effort in anymore. That was the old me"

"The old you never left"

"What do you mean?" I said confused.

"I saw the spark in your eyes when you smacked that ball miles, when you hit the last stump and when you showed up that girl Mia. I'm not like those other teachers" he said moving infront of me whilst I had my arms crossed.

"No, I can't be doing this" I said picking up my bag and charging towards the door.

I opened the door just to have it slammed shut, I turned around to see that Mr.Minter was up close and personal inches from my face as my back clung to the wall.

"Trust me. I'm different" he said in a low and intimidating tone, he stares from my eyes to my lips and back again.

I knew what he wanted to do and for some reason I did too, but I couldn't. He was a teacher and I was a student, they aren't meant to cross paths.

I pushed him off me and opened the door then walked at a fast pace and a little jog to get away from him as quickly as possible. I kept looking behind me to see if he was following to have my body thud into another.

"Woah Ellis, where you off to in such a rush?" I knew that voice, it was Mr. Stanley.

"Mr. Stanley!" I said and I couldn't help but let out tears.

"Alright, Ellis, calm down. Don't get yourself in a state" he said and I listened.

"Now tell me what happened"

"No, I just need to go" I said then continued to leave the school.

I paced my way down the road and to my house. I stopped outside and took a deep breath before entering the house.

"Mum? Dad?" No answer.

"Mikey?.... Ivy?" Still no answer.

"I guess I'm home alone then" I mumbled to myself and marched up the stairs.

I walked into my room and changed into my pj's. Then opened my Mac to see I was in a group chat with Ella, Katerina and Zoe.
