Chapter one

Another morning means another day of school. Another day of school means another day of watching those boring faces. There is nothing interesting in my life. Thats the reason why I do a lot of different and new things everyday. Like working as a barista or going fishing with my pops. Father it is. But that's not enough. I want something to happen. Well, not that 'something'.

I was still sitting on my bed trying to figure about what I should do today when my mums called me. I call my mom 'mums' for the same reason why I call my dad 'pops'. Interesting right?

"Hae Ra! Get ready and come downstairs. Breakfast is ready and your boyfriend will be here any minute."

"For the last time I'm telling you that he is not MY BOYDRIEND."

This happens everytime. We are just close friends. Really close. Even our families are really close. Our families live next to each other which makes us neighbours and we go to the same college. And let me tell you, the same course 'Business Management'. That doesn't mean we would end up together. Or does it?

I made my way towards the dining area where my pops and oppa were seated.

"Good morning pops! Good morning Taeil oppa!"

"Good morning princess!" They greeted me.

I quickly took my seat and greeted mums when she entered the room. She was about to sit when we heard the doorbell. Ting tong.

Pops was finished with his breakfast so he attended the door.
"Good morning uncle!" Here comes my so called or assumed boyfriend. My best friend...
"Good morning to you too Lee Taeyong!"
I smiled at him when we made an eye contact. He came in my direction and in an instant  pecked my cheek.
"You look pretty Jagiya~" I wiped my cheek where he kissed and made a disgusted expression.

"Wish I could say the same." Gotcha!
"So mean." And he pouted. Ohh Gawwhd. I can't resist when he pouts.
"Mianhae chingu-ah~. You know you look great. I don't want to compliment you everyday."
And then he showed me his evil smile. "You can't resist me, can you?" I punched his shoulders. Not a playful one. A real punch.
"AAH!"
"Hope you learned your lesson TY."
Now it was my turn to show my devilish smile. And I prefer calling him TY.

"Hae Ra!" Mums scolded me.
"Serves you right." TY commented.

After a few minutes TY broke the silence.
"My parents are having a dinner party tonight and you guys are invited."
"Any special occasion?" Pops asked him.
"Well there is a good news and we want to share it with everyone at the same time. It was dad's idea."

Don't tell me that his mom is pregnant!
"And my mom is not pregnant." He shout whispered at me.
Then does that mean they are leaving the place?
"And we are not leaving." He cleared that for me.

Wait!
"How are you able to read my thoughts?!"

"I just know how your stupid mind works." He then ruffled my hair.

"Yah! Don't touch my hair."

"Enough of you too. You'll be late if you continue to fight like cats and dogs." Oppa said.

"But she started it!"
"But he started it!"
We said in unision.

"Aiish! And then you say you are not a couple."
"We're leaving. Bye everyone!" I grabbed TY by his hand and dragged him outside.
"Yah! Let me atleast say bye to them." He whined like a kid.
"No need."
I can't bear another second of 'you look good together' or 'why don't you guys date each other'. The thing is we are not there yet. We are comfortable with what we have and where we stand.

We were on our way to the college when I asked him about the surprise thing which his family is planning.

"It won't be a surprise if I tell you. And most of all I want to see your reaction."
"Don't give me this surprise crap."
"It's just a few hours away. Now let's go. We might be late for our first class." And we made our towards the class of the day.

This is the beginning of the borinf lecture.
"Management is blah blah blah."
I was in the process of taking out my earphones when someone barged in the classroom with full strength making the door slam back and forth.

"Joseungabnida soseungnim! I won't be late ever again. I promise." Yuta.
The teacher nodded and he quickly took his seat in front of TY and I.

"Way to go Yuta." TY got ready for the bro fist but Yuta ignored him.
"I told you to give me a call and wake me up in the morning. I counted on you."  He continued.
"I accompanied you for the party when I didn't even want to attend it only if you wake me up in the morning. You know I can't handle my hangover. It was so fucking difficult for me." Which party is he talking about?

"TY! You attended a party last night? Without me?" Now I'm angry at him.

"You can punch me later. Focus on Yuta first."
"If I help you, then would you tell me the surprise?" He was shocked at first but nodded in frustration. He can't bear to see Yuta being upset at him. Well that's what you get if you enjoy a party without me. Kekeke

After the class ended Yuta sprinted outside without sparing a glance in our direction.
"Look TY I'm gonna go to that girl and when she looks at you just smile and nod. Understand?"
"Wae?"
"You want to talk to Yuta or not?" Silence.
"I take that as a 'yes'."

I went to that girl and greeted her.
"Hey Irene!"
"Oh..Hey Hae Ra."
"Would you like to go out with Yuta for a coffee or something?" I too was unsure of my question.
"I wouldn't mind but I don't like him that way. He might get a wrong impression." How should I tell her that I have already approved of her for Yuta? They are perfect for each other.
"TY will go out on a friendly date with you if agree to go out with Yuta for a friendly date. "

She looked at TY and he did what he was asked to. Smile and nod.

"Okay.."
"But please don't tell Yuta about this."
"Don't worry. It's our dirty little secret." She winked at me and left.

TY approached me.
"I just fixed a date for Yuta. Now go and tell him to talk to Irene." I feel so proud of myself.
"Thank you so s-"
"But in return you have to go out with her on a friendly date and you already approved!"
Before he could protest or whine I ran out of the classroom.

I'll ask about the surprise later.

A/N: I was getting so many reads for the prologue so I decided to update the first chapter.

I will be updating it SLOWLY as I have to focus on my first two fanfictions first.
