Chapter twenty

HAE RA'S POV

"He slept with someone else."

Mark's eyes widened upon hearing the statement. From shock, his eyes changed to sadness and somewhat filled with pity. He took my hand and caressed them to soothe me.

I couldn't hold it in and let out a small laugh. He stared at me with confusion.

"He didn't sleep with anyone beside me."

"WHAT?!"

"I just wanted to see your reaction." I said it casually. And as expected he wasn't mad at me. He was too eager to know my story.

"He kissed someone else though."

Flashback

"Hae Ra listen!"

I was walking away from him but he caught up with me and grabbed my wrist.

"I don't want to talk to you!"  I spat and yanked his hand off.

"I am sorry. I was just dead drunk! I don't even know who she is." He tried to reason with me but I was too hot headed to consider his explaination.

"How can you kiss someone else like that?! You're not a kid Jinyoung." No matter how much I wanted to forgive me, I just couldn't bring myself to do so.

"I forgave you when you kissed Taeyong! Why can't you do the same?"

I blankly stared at him with wide eyes, looking at him when he realised what he said.

"I didn-"

He was about to reach for me when I stopped him. "STOP RIGHT THERE."

"Now I get it. You wanted to get even with me. I kissed TY so you kissed someone else. I am right, right?"
I was panicking for no apparent reason. I was so mad at him for what he did but I was more mad at myself for jumping into such conclusions.

"Hae Ra! Can't you use your head for once! Why would I do that?" I could sense his anger in the tone.

"I-"

"Let's break up." I cut him off.

"There's no point in continuing this relationship. We're gonna get back at each other at some point or the other because of this."

He didn't say anything. It was my cue to leave the place. And I did.

For the following days I desperately waited for his call but it never came. I screw up this time.

I am sorry Jinyoung.

Flashback over

"The next day when I told TY about it he was furious. It was the first time in my life that I saw him that mad." I giggled at the end to lift the heavy atmosphere.

"You surely are stupid." Mark commented and I turned to look at his funny face.

"Yah! I'm still your noona you kid. And all this is TY's fault. He couldn't control himself." I slapped his arm playfully.

"So…"  I said.

"So……"

"Is everything okay between us?" I asked him nervously.

Instead of replying he pulled me into a hug, resting his head on my shoulders.

We were walking back to our place hand in hand. We went to a couple of places like Bing's Cafe. Its been long since we last went on a date.
