Getting To Know One Self/Another?: Fin And Fionna

Fin and Fionna hung out all day just talking about their adventures. It must be weird to feel nostalgic with someone you just met. "Remember the time a doorlord took all our stuff and we had to be a band to open his last door?" Fionna smiled at the memory. "Yeah, I still remember the look on Marshal Lee's face when we found out that he just wanted to hang out with us. He was soo mad." they laughed so hard, Jake and Cake could hear them from the kitchen. "Hey, you guys! It's getting late. Time for some supper." Cake shouted in agreement. "Jake is right, hon. Get in here and lets get eating." Finn stood and helped Fionna up. "Well, I guess this is goodbye." Fionna looked at her hands in Finn's. She looked down to hide her blushing face. "Yeah, for now anyway." They walked away from each other. But they both knew that none of them wanted to leave.

"Hey bro. So how was your date?" Jake said, teasing Finn. "It was not a date! We just hung out and talked. It's weird. I feel like I've known her foreved, but why did I only meet her now?" Finn was pondering on it. Jake saw the confusion in Finn's face. "Come one, dude. Don't think about it too much or you'll get poo-brain. Anyway, you should just be happy that you're not the only human anymore." Finn liked that idea. He wasn't alone anymore. He doesn't need to be lonely anymore.

"Honey, you ain't touching your food. Is something wrong?" Cake was worried that Fionna was losing her appetite. "I'm just thinking." Fionna just sat there playing with her meatloaf. "I know who you're thinking about. The human boy is pretty cute, don't you think?" Fionna's faced blushed red instantly. "What?! It's not like that. I- I just feel so weird. Being around him makes me feel not so lonely." Fionna went silent for a moment. Cake walked up to her and tried to comfort her. "It's okay, baby girl. I mean you haven't seen another one of your kind ever. Seeing one now must have been a confusing experience." Cake was right. She was confused. But not because of seeing another human. "He must know everything about me. All the adventures, the way I fight monsters, the way I felt when.." Fionna's mind drifted off. Is it possible to know everything about someone you just met? "Maybe you need some time to think about it. Just rest on it, hon. I promise you'll feel better in the morning."

All four of them were getting ready for bed. Jake and Cake was snoring there way to dreamworld. Finn and Fionna just laid on their beds. They couldn't understand what they were feeling. Maybe they weren't meant to understand it. Doesn't stop them from trying all night though.
